This annoyed me as it wrecked my plans for some rail photos at Northallerton and Thirsk today, especially at the latter as I couldn't get any mobile data signal so I had to do things the old fashioned way and simply guess what would pass thorough and when.

Hopefully the link works. A tender has gone out, in relation to investigating the feasibility options, ahead of a possible re-opening of lines between Bedford and East Anglia. Cambridgeshire County Council is the body responsible for the tender. 'Illegitimis non carborundum'

I wouldn't be surprised neither - either that or a requirement to have plug doors fitted as per Chiltern Mark III stock. I'm sure they have bars fitted to the stock that operates on Sellafield workers' trains. Aircraft flown on:

I love how the media are reporting this latest fare increase widely as if it's something brand new and that has never happened before; whereas it goes up every January and has done since year dot. Inflation is the word of the day for them.
Metro seem to be the worst for it IMHO...
