(28 May 2019, 5:44 pm)GNE6312 What routes for?

The E200MMC, 9076 (YX19 OWA), will be trialled on service 97 at Riverside.

The E400MMC, 9077 (YX19 ONU), will be trialled on services 309/310 at Percy Main.

They'll both be allocated to specific boards for their two-week loan period to Go North East, anticipated that they'll enter service by Friday all being well. The E200MMC may take a little longer given it has the 'smart mirrors' which will increase the amount of time required for driver familiarisation.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but just noticed Washington seem to have some new destinations (or at least the X1 and 4).
The via points have made a return and the X1 has 'Express Service' on a repeat and the 4 seems to just show that it goes via the Galleries now.

Service 5 has via Boldon & Jarrow

Service 50 has via Boldon & Washington then switches to Chester-le-Street

Yes that's right

Or you could get just a red and get off last stop on North Hylton Road by Ferry boat lane and walk over the bridge and get on the opposite side going back. Only a short walk

The footbridge is closed due to works at the moment. A natural diversion is in place but it is longer. Its making my cycle commute longer!

(28 May 2019, 3:00 pm)Rapidsnap I've been told off a driver the following...

The DFDS is not getting new buses.

Also there 3 open toppers expected from EYMS for the Toon Tour which is to be operated from Percy Main.

(28 May 2019, 5:17 pm)ne14ne1 Oh god, please tell me its not going to be called the Toon Tour?

Suspect it will be them three that will be painted in the Toon Tour livery - keeping 6000 in corporate colours perhaps?
Be interesting where they'll slot in fleetnumber wise in relation to 6000 too.

Family tickets might be cheaper, depending on the age of the kids.

There's just two further open-tops to come north - 6000 is the spare, the other two (for a PVR of 2) will be branded.

Bit of a pity that 6000 was numbered in the way it has been, with hindsight, now that it isn't going to be the only one of its type.

Could re-use numbers, like 3993,3994,dont forget the original numbers for 3995,3996 were originally 61**,so they could easily re-number 6000

6143 YN04 GKA has been repainted into New Livery with the Blue front panel! - Looks Hideous, as if it were borrowed for quick accident damage repair! (...my opinion only)

Might not necessarily be as easy as that.

3995/6 never actually saw use as 6134/5. As 6000 has, it might be stuck with that number now.

Plenty of vehicles have been renumbered in the past....

6008 - 6042 were originally numbered 91xx when they first came.
8186 - 8200 were renumbered to 486 - 500.
Dart 8000 (H802OPT) was originally numbered 4755.
Many ex OK Travel Vehicles carried 3 different numbers with GNE.
