(05 May 2019, 11:59 pm)Multi21 Because I'm a huge Mark Webber fan... Google it!

I thought it had to be a reference to Mark Webber's "Multi21, Seb, Multi21" quote from 2013. Stupid Vettel not following team orders! Webber deserved the win.

(05 May 2019, 2:42 pm)streetdeckfan The issue I think is ANE mostly operates in the two least densely populated counties, so with a lot of their routes being quite long and they don't necessarily have the passenger numbers to support them, it makes it quite difficult to make a profit.

It also operates in some of the areas with lowest car ownership in the country.

(04 May 2019, 1:05 pm)Kuyoyo Let’s move back into reality now.....

Stockton currently have Jesmond’s 1479, 1480 and 1495 (and a fourth as well but not sure what) on loan for rails - the aforementioned trio are all out and about. Also on loan are 1509/10 from Belmont - they are currently spare in the depot due to them having Ticketer machines (Stockton, Redcar, Whitby and - reportedly - Jesmond move over tonight).

1509 at least was out on Saturday.

What are Arriva playing at? Posting changes for the Rhyl area on the North East Twitter / Facebook pages yet they haven't even bothered to release the North East changes happening unlike GNE who released their changes back in April. Complete and utter contempt for passengers and I sincerely hope whoever gets their hands on Arriva (whether it's bought as one or sold in parts) can somehow turn it around.

Gone right downhill over the past 3 or so years.

The issue lies centrally. The local operating companies have had their website and core social media access removed and as a result, all Comms have to go via Central teams - hence the balls up today.

The local teams are literally having their hands tied behind their backs and still expected to deliver, at the same time, a vast proportion have been made redundant and a number of roles in local head office are vacant.

To be fair I think it has improved in some areas. Lost mileage at Redcar is much reduced.

1601 on the 22 broke down at Peterlee bus station at 4pm with a buzzer noise and red light on dashboard, twice it happened along the route between Durham and Peterlee , in turn arriving at Peterlee 20 minutes late

The doors are always sticking on that batch of streetlites. It's excruciating to listen to, when it happens.

The driver was also sticking bits of newspaper between the gaps in the assault screen on the door to stop that from rattling

The rattles in them are awful.

I'm not going to knock it, though. When one lands on the 64, it really feels like an upgrade from the E200s, in terms of noise and comfort. I received a phone call from one of the boys' schools when on tha 64, once and I know my hearing isn't the best, but I literally couldn't hear a thing above the engine noise.
