Hopefully it won't catch fire!

Don't know if this has been mentioned before but I'm sure I saw an ex Go North East/NGT Leyland Olympian in Swan industrial estate in Washington where the old dairy depot is. Didn't get the ID of the vehicle but it looks to be an olympian that was used for Sunderland AFC. Looks like it is just being used for storage at the moment.

Where on Swan? I'll have a look tonight if I get the chance.

It's Unit 8 on Swan Road, the operating centre for Lea (Limo Bus North East).

I was able to get some good photos a few months back. The guys on site were OK about me looking around.

Sorry can't remember the reg of the bus but it used to be owned by SAFC.

Looks unbelivably good. I've always thought Renowns look great in yellow.

I also think it looks extremely smart. 4846 was the only R-PRG registered Renown that I never rode in service with Go North East, but hopefully if it's still with the Big Lemon in a few years... Smile
Another former Go North East Renown that is still in front-line service is 4848 (R848 PRG). Now sporting the full GHA Coaches livery. Photograph courtesy of Brett Renown on the Wright Renown Enthusiast Group on Facebook.
Former ''Toon Link'' 5147 has appeared on Ensign's eBay page, at the price of £2,500. Would make a nice preservation prospect.

Leydons Coaches musn't have been too happy with it. They got it in October and its on eBay already. Might not be DDA of course.

It's not DDA-compliant - says this in the item description.

The value would be at least double with DDA mods.

Pic is of 5147, but description says that several are available and pic is of a similar vehicle.

Indeed it does:

"the picture is of a sister vehicle and is for illustration purposes - all are virtually identical"

5151 was ok, I had a soft spot for the hated 5155 but the rest are knackered.
