Pushchairs need to be folded. I think non-folded pushchairs may be permitted between Newcastle and Heworth at driver's discretion if there are no wheelchairs onboard already. I thought is was due to be complete in the next month or so, however seems like there still a fair bit of work to do RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2019 - Dan - 30 Dec 2019 (30 Dec 2019, 4:11 pm)Kuyoyo wrote All that'll be changing in terms of seating is replacing the seats - both B5s have non-standard seats so they're being replaced with Civics. Have seen it posted elsewhere that 5229 has had its Civics removed to be fitted to one of the B5s. (30 Dec 2019, 4:42 pm)L469 YVK wrote Not on the X9 / X10 though. Pushchairs need to be folded. When the route was re-registered and split into two 'local bus services', the rule of folding pushchairs was abolished. I don't have the app, I don't think it works very well. The 28 day ticket was actually won on my behalf as I didn't attend the event myself, it would be gifted to me afterwards. They don't use GNE as they don't like them. As we don't have the app, does that mean we can't get the prize? Thanks. Yes, the prize is a 28 day ticket on the app. It would probably be worth getting the app, creating an account with the email provided at the event and getting in touch with customer services if the ticket doesn't automatically show up. I know the app is terrible, but a free ticket is a free ticket! Go North East should be ashamed of the app, not promoting it! A free ticket might be useful (although I live in a largely Stagecoach area), so it might be worth sorting it. Hopefully the 28 day ticket would show up on the app if we get it. Pleased to see NSAs introduced on Stagecoach buses now. They released a new app, but on Android there was an issue with the tickets so they had to cancel the roll out. I've had issues with the tickets not showing on the app, but Customer Services have sorted it out straight away RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2019 - Michael - 30 Dec 2019 5289 is now in GNE livery RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2019 - Citaro5326 - 31 Dec 2019 6115 now has the new 311 map inside RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2019 - citaro5284 - 31 Dec 2019 Ease the January blues with cheaper bus travel http://newsroom.gonortheast.co.uk/news/ease-the-january-blues-with-cheaper-bus-travel-390831 RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2019 - Andreos1 - 31 Dec 2019 (31 Dec 2019, 12:38 pm)citaro5284 wrote Ease the January blues with cheaper bus travel I like the sound of the evening ticket and 24 hour ticket. Many a time, I need to pay full price for a reduced level of service when out on a night or even an expensive single (£4.60 on the X1). Pleased to see the 24 hour ticket making what looks like a permanent appearance too. The 24 hour ticket is a great idea! I hope Arriva implements something similar, when I visit family and stay overnight, I have to pay for 2 day tickets even though I'm there for less than a day in total Like you say on an evening not all services are available, so why should you have to pay the full price. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2019 - Rob44 - 31 Dec 2019 andreos1... 530 for 1 zone GNE ticket at 630am and the same price at 630pm even though you can only use it for 4 hours/ 5 hours max. see thats not changing, bit gutted a RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2019 - Andreos1 - 31 Dec 2019 (31 Dec 2019, 1:13 pm)streetdeckfan wrote The 24 hour ticket is a great idea! Can see the 7pm bus becoming as popular as the 9.30am one Spent a fortune a few weeks back after the work night out. Left car at work, taxi to Newcastle from office, single back home, then red ticket back to work to get car later the next day as MrsC was otherwise engaged. Absolutely no financial incentive to use public transport at all. However, the evening and/or 24hr ticket suddenly reduces the overheads. Citaro 5275 also long-term VOR for engine replacement, unsure what the issue is now as I believe it came back North a few weeks ago.
