Plessey Viaduct Collapse (Between Morpeth and Newcastle)
Could be a fun few days / week / months ahead for the Morpeth expresses at Ashington as there's no trains serving Morpeth northbound and a limited service on the ECML with speed restrictions as a viaduct has completely collapsed today.

There's also a comment on RailUK that Stagecoach are running a replacement bus service, not sure where from or what with though mind.

Couple of images from RailUK (https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/iss...908/page-2) below of the state of it.

Stagecoach normally run the Rail Replacement services for LNER still, they'll subcontract it out to coach companies generally though, doubt we'll see a stagecoach bus on it.

A stagecoach E400 was spotted last weekend with Rail Replacement passing Haggerston Castle

Aye wasn't sure how it was done, imagine it being more difficult to find the resources lately with the driver shortages etc especially last minute.
