Transdev Durham??

To paraphrase Bananarama, I heard a rumour that today that Transdev are planning to make an announcement in the next few days regarding expansion into the North East, specifically Durham.

It may be false, it may be true, yet nothing has been proved (to borrow a lyric from the Dusty Springfield/Pet Shop Boys song from the 1988 film 'Scandal'). In any case, when this rumour is proven to be false, I propose that the moderators move this thread into the off-topic section so we can humourously discuss some of tall tales mooted over the years by various enthusiastsor employees of bus companies.

If this rumour proves to be true, unlikely as it may sound, then I guess this can be he official thread for Transdev North East or Transdev County Durham or whatever name it will be known by.

Christ, I bloody hope not!
How would we ever tell the difference between GNE and 'TransDurham' if they both go to Copy and Pasting Desire for their liveries!

The beginning of the end for the boys in blue in Durham County?

Possibly Arriva. If not, it could be Lothians Consett ops.

RE: Transdev Durham??
If true, Transdev would be a welcome replacement if they got both Durham & Darlington.

And funnily enough whilst actually offering some 'healthy' competition, they'd no doubt co-exist well with GNE's offering going forward including any potential bus partnerships should they be implemented.

If Arriva offloaded Durham & Tees, I'd say:
- Durham & Darlington - Transdev
- Stockton - GNE
- Redcar & Whitby - Transdev

Interesting. I wonder who will replace Santa Claus then. Rumour has it that Santa can only empty his big sack once a year. Twice might result in overexertion.
