RE: Metro Two Weeks Closer St James/Tynemouth
Gne 1 is doing terribly

Non of the 05 buses to Tynemouth have ran today. Also u would have thought NSA buses would have been allocated as well
RE: Metro Two Weeks Closer St James/Tynemouth
I don't think a lot of them have ran on time either, tbh it would be good to send the coasters to Deptford as temp replacements for some of the citaros

Why would they do that when every 1 today has been a double decker, also the day it has been with the hot weather, when I was down at Whitley Bay earlier, the traffic was horrendous which will not help with timekeeping either.

They've been a double decker due to the metro being shut, meaning the Coasters presumably won't be used, for atleast a week or atleast most of them

Guessing just a swap for the temporary Deckers, I can't imagine there's enough space to have them plus the Decker's there especially since the Solo's are mostly still there doing nothing (as far as I'm aware).

No doubt the one at Consett being a swap for 6909 and they've chose to use it. If I took a punt I'd guess the other 2 are at CLS and one at Washington.

Seven are at Riverside, one is VOR and immobile at Percy Main, one is at Consett.

The one at Consett had to be used today due to a high VOR with buses awaiting warranty repairs.

Thanks for that.

Gne Really need to sort out the short Newcastle to Tynemouth runs & Tynemouth to Newcastle. As if they don't run. It is quite a bit of a wait if the 1 gets full. 4 journey on the 1 tonight heading to Newcastle were full and they had only just gotten to Tynemouth front street

Why?, Where would the extra drivers will come from to run duplicates, maybe drivers from other depots where there are really short of buses and services with gaps of hours on a regular frequent timetable, GNE are already doing enough of what’s available to help by putting double deckers on instead of single deckers.

Last night was a mess as the rest of the Metro is off from Haymarket to Tynemouth aswell which is the busiest part of the Metro outside the core.

Bus acceptance was a mess aswell with only the 54 for a while being the only service to Longbenton and absolutely nothing in the Monkseaton area at all. Believe it's been resolved now with SNE and 57/57A being added.

You do realise the whole Metro North of the Tyne is off right?

The section between Whitley Bay and Newcastle via South Gosforth is a hell of a lot busier route and the 309 covers a lot of it. Hence the Deckers are being prioritised on the Coast Road services instead. Not to mention people going to the beach at Whitley either.

That's why. Most the other line is covered by the 22, 317, 306, 39/40 and so on. The other side has little especially in the Monkseaton side rather ironically since GNE cut all the bus services.
