As most of you will know from a similar thread in the Go North East section of the forum, we are currently trying to put together a history for each of the vehicles in the Arriva North East, Go North East and Stagecoach North East fleets.

If you can contribute towards this for Arriva North East, do post below. I'd prefer it if you had dates in terms of month and year in which these movements have taken place.

Jeffs Bus Lane has lots of information on it, up until the end of 2012 I think? Dont know if this is of any use or not but it's all I've got I'm afraid

I notice 1771's not down at Stockton.

Well, I started off well...

Alexander ALX200s 1101-05 now have a complete Vehicle History section, with Plaxton Primas 1207/08 also having a fairly comprehensive Vehicle History section too.

I discovered that I ran out of characters in my "Notes" section when editing 1207, and this was replicated with 1208 too. As such, I've managed to get to 2010 and no further for both of these vehicles, and I'm going to wait until Liam bumps up my character limit first. I think I must have requested this in advance for the GNE fleet list, given that I've managed more characters in some of the vehicles I've done on that one.

Only going off the info I have - early Northumbria details are sketchy as it comes from the Northumbria Enthusiasts Club newsletters which were not monthly as per the UEC. No idea of the ID of various ancillary vehicles and the immediate reuse of fleetnumbers for many of them makes changes difficult to track

Had a bit of free time tonight, so decided to do some work on the fleet list vehicle history section.

All vehicles new in 2011 completed (65)
All vehicles new in 2012 completed (7)
All vehicles new in 2013 completed (40)
All vehicles new in 2014 completed (63)
Total completed - 175 / 587

Working backwards, as that strategy worked well with the Go North East fleet list. I aim to complete 2006 - 2010 tomorrow (193 vehicles), but don't hold me to that as it ultimately depends on what sort of mood I'm in tomorrow... There aren't many to complete for 2001 - 2005, so it shouldn't be long before I complete these...

A further 48 vehicles have now been completed, following the completion of all vehicles new in 2010.

Total completed - 223 / 587... Not far from the half-way mark (which isn't too bad given that I started just 12 hours ago!)

A further 69 (Fozz - behave!) vehicles have now been completed, following the completion of all vehicles new in 2009.

If anyone has dates of repaints (aside from recent MAX / Sapphire repaints), could you please list them here or upload a document as an attachment if you record this information yourself? Until I looked, I had no idea that the current Quorum Express Geminis were delivered in standard interurban livery.

As Liam forgot to up the character limit for the "Vehicle History" section of the fleet lists for Arriva, I've discovered that each and every fleet item that I completed previously cut off after 1,000 characters. Yes, I'm going to throttle him next time I see him!

I'm now going back to the start, and I'll have to complete everything again.

Yeah they'd certainly stand out on the streets of Darlington.

It's been a month since our last update, and after the earlier posts, it seemed appropriate that I made some more progress on completing our history archive for each member of the fleet. Following the completion of all vehicles new in 2006, 2007 and 2008, a further 76 vehicles in the fleet have complete "Vehicle History" section notes. Including the vehicles for disposal (which will not gain a vehicle history section) and the ex-London Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini vehicles acquired last year which already have a complete vehicle history section archive, 426 / 587 (73%) have been completed.

With that in mind - still to complete:

• New in 2000 - 12 vehicles*
  
• New in 2001 - 13 vehicles**
  
• New in 2002 - 1 vehicle
  
• New in 2003 - 5 vehicles
  
• New in 2004 - 1 vehicle
  
• New in 2005 - 38 vehicles

* I'd imagine that all of the minibuses / midibuses / single deckers in this batch are likely to be disposed of soon, so I will only complete the vehicle history section for the DAF DB250RS/Alexander ALX400 vehicles.
** Optare Solo M850/Optare 2804 and 2805 are likely to be disposed of soon, so I will not complete these vehicles.

All vehicles new prior to 2000 are either non-DDA or due for disposal soon, so I will not complete these vehicles either. This means that there's not very many left to go!

With regards to 7501-13, I thought that these were delivered in December 2007/January 2008, the fleetlists state they were delivered in the July of 2008?

I clearly typed it wrong! Certainly is January 2008 when they entered service, and I'm not sure how it's ended up as June 2008 as I'm fairly sure I did type January 2008...  :s

I'm happy to say that we now have a fully completed vehicle history section for Arriva North East!

Those vehicles new during or prior to 2001 (excluding the DAF DB250RS/Alexander ALX400 vehicles) have a history section complete with the transfers the vehicle has undergone whilst a part of the fleet. I've tried to include some details of repaints, but information regarding these is still fairly limited prior to those completed over the last year or two. I had originally planned to complete the history section for the East Lancs Lowlander bodied Y-reg DAFs, but I'd imagine their time in the fleet is fairly limited so it isn't worth going to the bother.

No photographs have been added yet, nor do any of the individual events in the vehicle history section link to a photograph on Flickr. I haven't even gotten round to doing this for the majority of Go North East's fleet yet, so it's a while off for Arriva. The huge weight to complete this has been lifted off my shoulders now, though, and I can work on adding photographs over time.

If anyone would like to proof-read any of the vehicles I've completed today (new 2000 - 2005), feel free and get back to me to correct them. Today is probably the last day I will dedicate to updating this side to the fleet lists for a while, so best to speak up now rather than later.
