Any idea when the last 2 for C&C will arrive?

I think I prefer the Lime.

Also, I've just seen 3971 on he 92 with a lot of smoke coming from the rear exhaust

I have to agree. I will always refer to the routes as 'Lime' whether this be discussions on here (including reporting rare/odd workings) - much more catchy than 'Coast & Country'

Very much doubt it! Seen various Brampton services with little/no passengers last year. Extra mileage and hours for very little.

Greg won't be happy about the multicoloured people on the windows.

On the GNE fb page:"Please be advised that due to a police incident, all services operating between Stanley bus station and Beamish are diverting via South Row, Grange Villa, Crag Head and Weir road in both directions."

Craghead is all one word and if they are on about the road i think they're on about, i believe thats Wear rather than Weir.

Was on the X31 before and we got half way up the hill (next to the hill top bar) heading towards Stanley not sure what the road is called, and a Police officer was preventing traffic going any further up, bus turned round went back down and turned left up a different street joining back onto the road where Stanley Depot is. Asked the driver what happened and he wasn't told, couldn't see anything either.

There has been an RTC involving a motorbike and a car. Second RTC in two days for Stanley.

Temporary relocation of bus stop in Holmeside

Renewal of a manhole cover.

Last Updated: 22 April 2015 1:31 PM

Sunderland City Council have advised that works to renew a manhole cover will take place on Holmeside on Sunday morning, 26th April 2015.

The works will start at 08:00 and are expected to be finished by lunchtime and during this time, buses will be unable to access bus stop 24S24. This is the westbound stop near Mason Amusements (Services 2/2A, 5/5A, 16, 39, 136).

All displaced services will use the bus stop prior to this one (24S40) while the works are in progress.

Should of had one at Beamish on a Saturday when it is the Museum is bound to be Busy with the 8 running past the Entrance, thus promoting the Link of the Service, as I would think most would wait for the 28/28A to come instead.

I agree in principle, but the other venues will all be free.
Not sure if Beamish charge for things like that or even if they allow those sorts of events to take place.

No idea but Go North East did celebrate 100 Years of Northern there in 2013, Anyone who went to that event would of had gotten 25% Discount if they traveled by Bus.

I imagine most people choose to wait around for the 28/28A is because they run past the entrance itself, whereas the 8 stops close, but people face a long walk downhill from there. Not hard to walk down, but, and I speak from experience here, is a horrible climb uphill! Tongue

I agree that the link ought to be promoted, I know myself that passengers know of the 8 running past Beamish Museum, but at the same time, quite a few were disappointed to be dropped off at the Shepherd and Shepherdess as apposed to the main entrance.
