According to Optares website from the Euro 6 deadline solos will only be available with Mercedes engines which is the same engine in the Streetdecks............................
And people want them for the X21

Stanley Travel operate OO05 STX in Nexus livery and can be found on service 23 (Birtley-Washington)

Gateshead Central Taxis' boards of service 939 both interwork with 'taxi bus' services. I believe the morning journey interworks with service TB10 and the evening journey interworks with service TB14. Go North East's board stipulates the requirement of a low-floor Euro 5 vehicle with a minimum capacity of 23 passengers. This interworks with services 29, 90 and 92.

Cant help but think that the MetroCity will struggle around the tight roads of Springwell/Eighton Banks and Birtley on the 23 due to its size at 10.8m I think, Has GCT purchased this Vehicle outright or is it with them on a long term demonstration period.

Its on a long demonstration. Also this is the same vehicle that was on display at that show at the NEC ( sorry forgot the name ) so actually is 11.5m long!
