37303 (SK15 HDJ) on service 30.
37304 (SK15 HDL) on the 3/4/7/8 circuit.
37305 (SK15 HDN) on the 3/4/7/8 circuit.

I assume 37301/2 have entered service as well. This means that some current vehicles will now be withdrawn and cascaded to other depots.

Entering service quite fast, has anymore arrived?

The last non DDA reserve MAN will of being withdrawn, i would imagine the darts are ready to transfer out? or will it be the DDA MAN's first?

Least the SC fleet list can be updated now!  Angel

22734 will get withdrawn....but not now, later into the summer holidays. This batch of new E200s will replace the 14 MANviros and the 5 Darts with the MANs going to Slatyford for the 6/7/8s and the Darts to Hartlepool apparently. 22050/67/70 will stay at Sheilds as Kuyoyo confirmed, 2 for the X20 and 1 spare.
The 6 ex Dundee E400s will not head for Teeside, 3 for the X34 and the rest to Newcastle with 19194/6/7 to finish the Double decker crisis currently going on there, so in the end 19194/6/7 will not stay for the Es. The MANs displaced from the E400s will move to reserve roles throughout the fleet replacing most non DDA MANs. The Darts from 6/7/8 will move everywhere, a few will move to Walkergate to replace the remaining 04 reg Darts and the rest..... God knows where they will go! the most Reserve or transfer to another fleet.
The Es wil stay Single Deck for this year at least. My prediction is these routes will get converted to double deck in next if not the year afters orders with the E300s replacing MANs ALX300s in the City but that's a different story.
Maybe a short term loan of Olympians 16833 and 39 to cover the Es for the summer might help seem as though there still legal to use ( until 2017 when DDA comes for Deckers aswell )

Heard from a friend some of the older Enviros from Shields were heading to Wheatsheaf to replace the darts, which will transfer out although they need to replace the 2 reserve MAN's which aren't DDA to...

I doubt it. Though im not a expert on Sunderland's fleet from my memory isn't there only 2 or 3 Darts left at Wheatsheaf? add that to the 2 MANs and that's only 5 out of 14
It might be better to transfer all to Slatyford so more MANs and Darts can be replaced, Though anything can happen We will just have to wait and see.......

The X34 really needs 4 double decker's as there is an odd working nearly every day on the X34, which sometimes is an ADL E200! A 4th E400 should allow all six Pointer Darts and all 14 MAN E200s to be cascaded elsewhere.

I fell embarrassed! How can I forget the odd workings when I see them everyday?! A E400 passes light up to Pilgrim Street in front of my house around 5:30pm everyday
But normally there can be the odd E300 or E200 like you said, sometimes on the very rare occasion a MANviro or a Dart!
Bloody hell A Dart?! Yes that's what I was thinking when I saw it   Big Grin
Yeah it does need a 4th E400, But I still think 19194/6/7 should transfer back to Slatyford.

More odd workings on the cards for X34 with the new timetable. Before 8am there will be 2 X34s within 15 minutes of each other then none for an hour til nearly 9am. Sounds a bit mental the new peak time workings.
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2015
It seems some people missed part of last night's discussion..............

The X34 is planned to go every 20 minutes at some point this year, for which these 6 E400s have arrived to work. 19194/6/7 will return to Newcastle once 3 of the 6 new ones are ready for service. If the X34 frequency increase doesn't happen, what happens with the other 3 is not known.

As for the cascades as a result of 37301-19, I don't know the exact details but I think I can safely say Stockton and Walkergate aren't in any of these cascade plans Wink
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2015
South shields will be taking all 6 when they have been preped for service. 19194/6/7 are on the move to slatyford. These are the enviros that were supposed to be due from Oxford which have now been displaced elsewhere

Kind regards

Chris

I think it was mentioned on here that Hartlepool would get the cascades from South Shields when the new buses enter service.

I don't know why Stagecoach is keeping hold of Hartlepool, thought it might went the same way as Darlington did, I know that GNE have expressed an interest in Stagecoach operations in Hartlepool in the past, but Stagecoach came back with a very firm no.

That's about 25 miles of dead mileage every day for every vehicle...

Also - Hartlepool haven't done badly in terms of new buses in the past.  Their 19 E200s were new to the depot in 2008 and 10 of the Darts were new to Hartlepool in 2004.  In fact, only six buses (34401 & 34605-8/15) are 'cast-offs'.

Exactly. They were one of the first depots to be totally low floor. Some people just like a whinge.

Not at all.

I'd suggest that a depot being completely low-floor is more or less expected of large operators these days, and this is why it's not ideal when those operators with high-floor vehicles remaining in their fleets allocate them to public services if they are not scheduled to do so.

I think that the customer expectation is moving on from low-floor vehicles to vehicles which feature 'new' on-board bus technology; such as free Wi-Fi, power sockets and Next Stop Announcements, as well as more comfortable seating. This is typical of new builds only, though some operators do refurbish existing vehicles within their fleets to this upgraded specification.

(03 Jul 2015, 3:56 pm)AIG20 wrote MAN ALX300 22734 (T734 OEF) is still going strong, as it was on the 3/4/7/8 circuit yesterday and is on the "E" services today. Though, I assume its days left in service are numbered!

It will not be withdrawn by a bus off the new E200 order but by one of the MANs cascaded by 19194/6/7 which are going to move to Slatyford so in the end......
I think there will be another MAN to transfer to Shields, so I say it will probably stay the summer to provide capacity then get withdrawn the end of August start of September though I may be wrong.
