There seems to be some sort of shuttle on today for the Port of Tyne, just passed two in North Shields while on the 9.

They were using two dual door renowns, is this a regular thing? Never saw it before.

Without actually having a ride on either of the demonstrators, i can tell what you mean by saying the Streetdeck lacks power. Since they were only half an hour apart, i decided to hang around for both of them and discovered that the Streetdeck was running late (eventhough it was just by a few minutes) and the E400MMC was running to time. To be fair, they were both heading in the opposite direction but there are still a few dual-carriage ways between Bishop Auckland and Chester-le-Street. 

The streetdeck was coming from Newcastle and the E400 was heading to Newcastle.

Just to note for anyone going to the Airshow this weekend, Get Around, Buzzfare, Sunderland Day & Weekly Tickets will be accepted within the relevant zones on special services A1 & A2, Dont think the above were accepted last year, so this will be a first from GNE. Network One, Concessionary & Nexus Child Pop Card Fares are all Invalid.

I'm sure they are white but the destinations even look a bit indigo in the photo.

The 'indigo' colour is growing on me - even though they aren't indigo (which is a deep blue / violet colour).

There's now 7 indigo Solo SR's at Saltmeadows 8329 is now in red saw as every shutter at Saltmeadows is up 8303 is parked in front of the 2 new Solos theres also a simplicity present.

I agree, but the word "Indigo" on the Route Branding itself will be "Indigo", the Vehicle Colour is simply just a Colour in which Go North East has chosen to apply this New Branding on top of to make the Brand stand out more.

Positive it was 8329 the reg was NK11 HBC.

I believe they are early as I'm sure they were due in August think at the rate they're going at they could be in service by the end of August.

I think it was said that they were due to enter service in mid-August i think. 

Branding should start very soon too i would imagine - don't think it would matter too much if not all of them had arrived.

5396 arrived quite late compared to the others. As did 5410 for the Red Kites. Probably the case of not wanting them hanging around in Saltmeadows as it was starting to get quite busy with the omnidekkas etc.

Fair enough, but if I was in charge of getting the buses branded, I would try and get them branded shortly after arrival to allow them to all enter service together, rather than have new buses that are ready to go into service floating around doing nothing while the rest are being branded. Get them sorted out, ready for service, as soon as possible.

By all means agree. You aren't going to be branding 12 buses (or however many there are) in 1 vinyl...

I'm sure they stick the vinyls on undercover, don't they? You also have to consider the room inside Saltmeadows itself; while you can store the 14 buses outside, you can't fit them all inside undercover. I can't understand why you would wait for all 14 of them to arrive before starting to brand them up; if the vinyls are ready and there is room and staff available, I'd have thought they'd take advantage of that.

But what your forgetting is that the branding is applied by a 3rd Party Company, and not by Go North East themselves in house at Saltmeadows, so Go North East will have to wait until said company is available for it to be applied, no doubt this would be arranged when the Vinyls are Ordered and GNE have a Timetable for when the New Vehicles from the Manufactures arrive etc.

Still wondering why NEXUS has decided against putting any more services on stand D, the X66 isn't that special to get its own set down stand, that stand could of being used to split the congested stands.

Stand B and J is an example of congested stands, sure some from stand B could of being put on stand A and at least 1 service from stand J could of moved to stand K.............

Hopefully they track down the wing mirror the E400 just lost leaving Gateshead bus station. We're all having to wait for a replacement bus. Stuck outside the Civic Centre.

Maybe because they are missing quite a substantial amount of brain cells as a collective, or maybe Gateshead Interchange like other Interchanges across the region is simply poorly designed.
