Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2015

RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2015
(28 Aug 2015, 6:22 am)JoshP wrote Are there any plans for the 1/1B, 5/5A, 12, 19 or 21 in Darlo to be upgraded to a brand? They are the only services in 'normal' Arriva Livery in the town (even though 12 & 21 are in gas/green livery)

Doubt it.

The 1/5/5A/19 interwork during the daytime so it would be difficult to individually brand each service.

21/X21 is already branded on the EcoCitys and I don't see much point in branding the 12/12A especially with the 12/12A having a mixed allocation, also it's better having 4809/4810/4811 not carrying route branding so they can be easily used on the 2, 12/12A and 21/X21 without the wrong branded bus appearing on the wrong route although 4811 should be on the 21/X21 as it is fitted with WiFi for these services.

Durham

1531/2 formally allocated, releasing 1465/6 to Darlington
7453 reinstated from under repair

Redcar
4501 to disposal

Stockton

(27 Aug 2015, 6:16 pm)Kuyoyo wrote So, where do you then put the extra 3 MPDs? Blyth want Pulsars for MAX spares, you swap like-for-like so 1401-3 go elsewhere.

Well you said the MPDs would be gone by next year so there's three can go.
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2015
is there going to be an exact date for 7445/7446 to move to ashington?

Yup I brought mine in 10 late to finish which wasn't too bad. Passed 3 buses going light out to Netherfields/Overfields as I was sat in the traffic on Cargo Fleet Lane

Is it this bad that I didn't notice when I got off it in Durham but oh well....

1415 has lost its external X12 branding ahead of its new role at Stockton as X12/X66/X67 spare

It might still be today but can't see it interworking after today.

I was referring to not noticing 1415 not the bridge - not hard to miss that was back open.

As for 22/24, they are interworking today (and 64/X12 are both still on their temporary timetable so the X12 should be on time all day today).
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2015
A reminder that service changes start tomorrow for Services 1, 5/5A and 66 in Darlington plus X21 in Peterlee.

They still were earlier this morning.

Eta it wouldn't make sense to revert today as there will be extra traffic due to the streets festival. In fact I hope they take this as a lesson when planning for the Christmas festival as that usually causes chaos.

Yup 1415 was done yesterday I gather.

If this is a Max spare, what is the main Stockton bus for X66/X67?

1404/05/07 from Darlington I do believe in exchange with 4652/4/8 going the opposite way for X75/X76
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2015
does anyone think ashington will allocate 7445 and 7446 to the x15 when they get them?

Why...? There's already buses branded for the X15...?

yes but i have realised now that they put anything on those routes for example 7518 on quite frequently and i have notice 7491/7492 have been on once or twice. i wouldn't put it past them putting those two on those routes

No, they'll go on what 7491/2 are usually found on, so the 35 and X20 in all likelihood, probably more the X20 though.

They'll have 3 Max spares then!

Or are Stocton having two turns on X66/7?
