Alternatively, you could choose to experience the strange forces of the Sutton Bank approach.
I guide people the way the X93 goes, down the A66 from Darlington to Cargo Fleet Lane Roundabout then the A171 all the way to Scarborough. Obviously I don't guide them right through Guisborough, Whitby Bus Station and Robin Hoods Bay, that would be silly! It is pretty easy to get to Scarborough after you've done it a few times.
