Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2015

Although the service starts/terminates at Blaydon, why does the app only have times for it up until Medomsley?

As its not registered and doesnt take fares, its highly likely it is flexible in terms of route at the moment.

The website only shows it going to Medomsley too, so I suspect nobody was using it beyond that.

I know it isn't a registered service. Can't imagine anybody using it all the way to Blaydon either if im honest.

Haha well I won't ever say never but I don't remember it being suggested?
They're due to be replaced at Redcar soon but I don't think they'll be going to Jesmond. Don't know what Jesmond would need them for?

What would replace them? Would it the Temsas's or solos?

7502 sounds really very bad, struggling to accelerate, and every time it does so a thick black cloud of smoke is released...
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2015
Apart from setting up a 'plonker of the day' thread, there isn't any other place to put this.
Coming off the slip road at Houghton on the A690, I spotted an ANE decker heading along Hillside Way.

Curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to follow it. It turned left down Newbottle Street. As I got closer, I noticed the rear blind simply showing 'Arriva'.

A new route? Competition for the 20's? Cheaper fares? That's all it could be. They were out doing a risk assessment and checking timings!

As it entered the bus only section, I took the opportunity to take a photo - just incase I couldn't get round to The Broadway in time to see where it went from there.

Anyway, scooted round to The Broadway to meet it there. I could see it parked up. Bonus!

Except, it was the ED12 laying over before presumably making a trip back to East Durham College.

Gutted!

There is a Perrymans thread. It's in the Northumberland category of "Other Operators".

ALX400s?

Sorry, these are at Thorntons for a general Arriva refurbishment.

Whatever B7s is for the X20 has already passed through Ashington and is being refurbished for MAX X20.

All I've been told that it's Volvo B7TL / Wright Geminis for the X20, I'm unaware of the years. But I believe it's in the same batch as LG52 DDK.

I've been told that there are two at Thorntons now.

Also, on Thursday, I saw a white decker and a few more deckers in the back row at the yard, I was in the queue at McDonald's so I couldn't see any details.
