That's what I was thinking, but I'm a bit confused how that would work seem as the 45/46 currently run a 15 minute combined frequency so I don't know how a 10 minute frequency between Newcastle and Rowlands Gill on the 45/46 and 47 would work unless on the 45/46 there is going to be a 10 minute gap between two journeys then a 20 minute gap between the next journey.

This is what it says for the 45/46 changes "The timetable is also revised to provide a service up to every 10 minutes between Rowlands Gill, Metrocentre and Newcastle"

Its probables going to be mentioned in the Gateshead changes although it should be mentioned in both.

It does but not sure what else could be allocated to the X30/X31/X32.

Edit: Unless all the current ToonLink services will be dropped with the X30/X31/X32 taking over...

Then what would be used on the new 11/11A/12/12A.... Citaro's?

Hopefully the Gateshead changes are out tomorrow.

which was a bit ridiculous - the move to black was a good one. It would be silly to move away from that so soon.

Is this just at the back?  I noticed the other week that 4919 (I think) looked to be frozen and displaying 'Blaydon'
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - October 2015
The x30,X31 etc Stanley-Town buses are now going to be Toon link unsure on what will be used yet probably omnideckers getting toonlink branding but not confirmed yet.

96,11,12,12a are all toonlink omnideckers with plain black onces expected to join the fleet.

Dark green is the new highwayman livery once branded for the 97. 98 only runs rush hour using whatever is spare.

Red scanias are being used on a B10 route. Probably 64/95 or 67/69 or both, but maybe even 57 only.

Blue mercs are the Stanley-Durham service.

Do you have inside information or is this your good guess?

Do you think that they would change the current Omnicities on the current ToonLink - 11,31,32 services, for Newly branded "ToonLink" Black Omnideckers that are expected in the coming months for the new ToonLink services 11, 12, 12a?

I think it could be a good idea, however the current Omnicities have not long been updated for ToonLink and surely GNE would of delayed its update from Purple vehicles to Black Omnicities, if only a few months later they would change again. Although the upcoming changes are NEW, I'm sure GNE would of been considering this for many months previously, even before going thru the consultation process.

Also, I think Dan suggested that the current Omnideckers are Not likely to be re-painted again so soon.

Surely as they are branding the X30, X31, X32 services as ToonLink they will want to use ToonLink branded vehicles and not just Red Omnideckers??

Its all very interesting though, looking forward to finding out !

Ye, honestly don't see the point in promoting the current Toonlink services then dropping them within months to have different services for the brand..

From what iv'e heard we are to receive more Omnidekka's in the next couple of months... maybe they are the ones to go Black....  this isn't confirmed its just what i was told...so we take this info with a pinch of salt!

So going what iv'e being told... maybe the 11/12/12A will be the Omnicities and the X30/X31/X31 will be Omnidekkas.... i don't think the allocations be confimred until GNE put the new timetables up... and were still waiting for the Gateshead changes to be posted... hopefully that gives us an idea to.

Nah. Maybe it is a case of dropping a service out of the brand allowing the X30/X31/X32 to drop in? Seems most likely imo.

Oh dear...thats the Next Stop Announcement logo haha!

The NSAs don't work but a system is fitted - the 'Bus Stopping' screen on them is where the stop names would scroll.

I wasn't getting wound up? Maybe if i used one of the smilies at the end of that particular part of my post, it may of been clearer?

Just another example of people not making what they are saying clear to others but are clear to them i suppose. Smile

Looks like a real GNE document too. The Red Arrows maybe?

In all seriousness, i think the Omnidekkas will be used on the 6 interworking with th X70/X71 (as citaro previously suggested).
