From next week, the minibus allocation at Deptford will be revised, coinciding with the two "Nexus" branded Optare Solos moving onto pastures new into the heart of Hadrian's empire.

- 3x MPD: Service 38
- 3x MPD: Service 238
- 1x MPD: npower shuttle

When 559 transfers to Deptford, this will provide two spare MPDs to cover a minibus PVR of 7.

Service 99, which is currently allocated 2x MPD, will instead operate with 2x Volvo B10BLE.

The board on service 238 which runs onto the secured evening 38C service (allocated a Solo), will no longer do so, due to the Euro 5 contractual requirement. The 38C service will instead run off service 60, and as such will be allocated a "Drifter" branded Streetlite. The Sunday service of both 38C and 135/136 will be operated by a "SimpliCity" branded Optare Versa.

So the 0650 x36 from downhill will now use a mpd

GNE Next Stop Annouments
I was on the X1 today and I was just thinking to myself "what software do they use for the NSA's"

I've tried contacting GNE, but they have not responded. If anyone knows can you please reply Thanks

We use a Hanover product.

Older vehicles have a HANCIS unit in but the new vehicles have a HTC unit.  There is a picture of one if u click on HTC on the link below.

Like what software do you use to import the NSA's onto the HTC Unit. I know Helen is for the Destination Blinds.
RE: GNE Next Stop Annouments
I am guessing you mean, what we use to actually build the files - If it is in Line Plan format we use something call Line Plan, and for the LED displays we use Hanover Central.

Well, not rare but definitely not correct. As Dan stated in his post, the allocation of service 99 will change to Volvo B10BLEs.

More likely to be an indirect transfer. Likely a Pronto B7TL to say Percy Main, and a Trident from Percy Main.

As IIRC DCC specify a minimum seating capacity on Double Deckers used on some of their school services (prob just the one in Lanchester) which I think used to be around the 75 mark.

Hence why Stanley gained a large number of older deckers over the years because they had plenty of seats, but prevented Optare Spectras from being based there because they only seated 71.

This was the case a few years ago, I'm not sure if it's still the case now.

For those of you interested in sampling the new Next Stop Announcements - every Merc at Washington has been updated and the majority of Volvo B9s have too. There's a couple of B9s with faults meaning that some couldn't be updated or the screens are slightly misaligned.

This software is not available for free on the public domain, and, unlike Helen, has not been leaked (at least to my knowledge).

The Next Stop Announcement screens on TFT monitors are built within Microsoft PowerPoint. As citaro5284 stated above; Hanover have built software to allow its customers to try out different things besides a basic PowerPoint, such as a Lineplan Editor. This creates a basic PowerPoint in 'line plan' format, then it is up to the customer to 'tart it up' afterwards.

Yes - the 0651 X36 from Downhill, which arrives into Park Lane at 0715, runs onto the 0717 38 to Rainton Bridge (and as such should be allocated an MPD).

No - 628 and 8319 today. The former is the incorrect allocation.

MPD 565 is the vehicle on service 237.

Liking the look of this dan. Which buses will be trialed on?
Arrivas buses do it in the Haymarket when they are reversing.

No good on the B9TLs on the TEN which only have the route number on the rear - and little point having it on the front IMO.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2016
Arrivas Buses only have route numbers on the rear and it has Bus on topline and reversing is scrolling.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2016
I suppose it could clear up complaints at ES. If bus reversing message on, you ain't getting on

I'd say there's a very good reason for having it on the front. I can think of four bus stations off the top of my head, where buses have to reverse out of the stands. Hence you have a problem of people running towards the bus doors, as it's reversing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that having a warning destination will rid the world of idiots, but it'll certainly reduce the number trying to board a reversing bus.
