79 wil probably be the best one to do - maybe Morpeth to Ponteland or Heddon. I'm off soon so will try it next Wednesday I think, so hopefully the dart is allocated. Rest are probably impossible as there is no way of getting back really.

You could get the 808 from Newcastle Airport (Ponteland Road stop) into Newcastle City Centre on a Saturday morning. I may do the Peter Hogg 131 to Newcastle Airport one day as well.

I'll try and do one, some day.

Looks like you could also get off the 79 near Kingston Park Shopping Centre with there being plenty of buses leaving from there. I may do this journey sometime.

Is the 808 allocated the darts? If so that's a good shout. That'll be the best option for the 79 I think, there or Ponteland with the X78 and 74.

The only times I've seen the 808 it's been the Mercedes Sprinter although I saw a coach on it one night. Not certain if you would see a Dart on there or not.

I'm hoping for the 'Rural Link' Dart to be on the 882 on Saturday so I can get a photo in Hexham.

(20 Mar 2016, 11:49 pm)Jimmi wrote They operate the following services.

79 Albemarle Barracks - Morpeth (Wednesday only)
613 Whittonstall - Hexham (Tuesday only)
808 Otterburn - Newcastle (Mon - Sat, one journey each way)
815 Ridsdale - Bellingham (Friday only)
882 Hexham - Colwell (Saturday only)
885 Byrness - Hexham (Tuesday only)

Try this link for timetables.

I would also like to sample their efforts but it's difficult with their timetables. Might do Newcastle Airport - Newcastle City Centre one Saturday on the 808.

Haven't looked at timetables, but the 689 and 613 might be an option from the Whittonstall area.

Might leave the 808 then. Not too bothered about the sprinter.

@Andreos yeah that could work or you could go to Stocksfield and connect with the 10 looking at the timetable.

Looks nice! I like the idea of Rural Link also, gives it a brand. Don't think the lettering of Rural Link looks to great, also to much gap between Rural and Link, this could be improved a little.
However its good to see an independent operator with a brand/colour scheme rather than just how the vehicle was bought.

Do you think the other Dart will get the same treatment? I think it would be good to see.

What other vehicles do PCL have now, are they getting rid of any in favour of the 2 Darts?

They changed the timetable if youve waited at the airport it doesnt stop the id advice you to go to morpeth as youll catch it the.
Theres been a picture of north east coach travel on the 79 but i think the sprinter would run it.
When i rode pn06fjc all seats were taken when i and a lady boarded so i think Saturday boards should use a dart or the van hool

Please for your sake do, it may take longer but get on the 882 or 808. The service isn't actually marked on all stops, I have tried in both directions. The MPD could not be allocated due to the route at Bolam

I have tried to get on at Thornhill Road (Ponteland), Heddon, Kingston Park, The B&B just after Newcastle Airport and Morpeth.

It was the Sprinter on the 808 again tonight.

There was certainly a PCL bus in Morpeth bus station this morning at 1150.  I've seen it many a time on Wednesdays usually well before it is due to leave blocking a stand.

Does anyone know anything about this, since it should have started on Monday? It hasn't been very well publicised, and I can't seem to find any information about it.

I have found PCL to be ghostly

If you call the number it calls someone random in Prudhoe, the 79 appears to have a stupid unrealistic timetable and it never comes on a morning since PCL took over. I cannot find any timetables for anything and I think the only way to find out about it is to check bus stops.
RE: PCL Travel

Can't find any info about this new service 51 though.

Yeah, that's where I looked straight away, because the Northumberland CC's website has only a few of the more "popular" bus timetables. I've also tried Traveline as well, for various times during the day, every day of the week, but still nothing. I wonder if there's any information in Morpeth Bus Station, or if there are even any mentions of it at all at bus stops?

Finally after doing some digging around, I've found some info on this service by typing into Traveline's Plan a Journey page for journeys between Morpeth Bus Station and Stannington. First of all, it appears to be the S1, not the 51 (according to Traveline North East). Here's the times.

Stannington Village departures.
0650. 0810. 0935. 1205. 1435. 1720.

Morpeth Bus Station stand H departures.
0730. 0840. 1135. 1405. 1550. 1740.

The first journeys in each direction don't run on Saturday's.

Got it, although it was a bit of a needle in a haystack to find! Wonder how it's getting on, as it appears to be very poorly publicised indeed!
