At least I know what will be on the Q3 now, on another note will it retain WiFi?

There should be no reason to withdraw wifi from the bus, all buses in the GNE fleet will have wifi etc... Except for older buses in the fleet which will be getting withdrawn

I have got some good news and some bad news.

Bad news is, there is no news to discuss on this thread today, good news is, there might be something worth discussing tomorrow  Tongue
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2016

They have none on the bus at all, on the blue scanias they just have timetables for the 19! And there are no posters up about it on the Scanias (they just have them for day returns) and the B10s just have them for the 9 which don't even have any significant changes. Bit crap really for people who aren't on the internet

Totally agree it appears there has been a bit of sloppiness in regards to these changes, battle hill gained new timetables in bus stops on the 14th,10 days before the changes are due to commence, some stops more recently, paper timetables only appearing now(from what we've saw),and both stops outside Benton Asda and showing on the timetables that the 42 will stop at both stops which i dont think it Is

Is it the 53 stop showing the 42 stopping there as it's the same route as the 17 so that doesn't sound right

In what?, service changes?, general stuff?

Service changes is quite bad atm, i wonder how many passengers know that GNE won't be running the W sevices in Whitley Bay from this Sunday...

Or if they've gained the likes of the 33/33A/168 etc...

I know it's been debated but why does it matter to passengers if GNE aren't running W's or that they are running the 33? The route and timetable hasn't changed so there isn't actually anything to tell passengers?

As long as information about the things which are changing is getting out to passengers that's what is important - though it is disappointing if there aren't any posters on buses about the 17

Are GNE tickets being accepted on the W services following the the changes? I would say that was quite an important issue, particularly if a passenger needs to find additional money to complete a journey now. Regardless of how embarrassing it would be to a complainant that 'yes, the website is out of date and shows we are the operator. No, actually we actually aren't the operator'

Similarly I would have thought the new services would have been promoted or at least mentioned, so that pass holders are aware they can now use that service with a GNE ticket.

Interesting to see Hexhams depot could get an increase.. Wonder why.

I though Riverside could have that many buses in now anyway.

Annual PSV Test I would think, there was a Tynedale Links MPD parked up on the VOR Line yesterday evening.

Presumably 556, which was expected to transfer earlier this week from Hexham after returning from the Whitley Bay Rally.

I guess so as it had a rear advertisment.

The 68 has now been removed from the website and the 'places served' section of service 36 now shows the service as going to Castletown via Silksworth

Talking of Cobalt Clippers I noticed one yesterday had its lettering about the Metro Radio recorded NSAs removed. Is this just a one off or is it a hint that the 309/310 will shortly have Emma's voice used?

TEN 10/10A/10B/10X, Angel 21, indiGo North Tyne 40/41/42 , Citylink 58, Cobalt Clipper 309/310/X39 and Quaylink Q1/Q2/Q3 are all planned to be voiced by Emma Hignett in the near future.

Metro Radio vinyls (if present) will be - or have been - removed from the above vehicles, ahead of this happening.

The announcements will temporarily be turned off on the TEN, indiGo North Tyne, Citylink and Quaylink vehicles from this Sunday.
