The "E" Services have been severely delayed this afternoon.

I waited 25 minutes from 14:55 for an "E" bus to turn up at Fawcett Street and two E6's turned up at once and 36464 drove past "Not in Service" at the same time. When I got on one of the E6's, which was operated by 37308, the driver told another passenger that there were three "E" busses in the bus station.

Several of the people waiting at the bus stop got fed up after 20 minutes and got the 20 (GNE Prince Bishops) instead.

The one in bold - the Newcastle examples are 17651-72. 17643 was new to Manchester.

Just having my first experience of the E400MMCs. They're awful! The seats are incredibly uncomfortable as they are set too high from the floor so they dig into the back of your thighs terribly! Not impressed at all.

Funny - I've been on three of them today and apart from the moulded seats (the rear seats etc), I found them very comfortable.

I can still feel pain in my left thigh over two hours later! Admittedly I'm only 5'7 but still. I couldn't spend much more than 20 minutes on them. I wasn't the only person. Some teenagers were complaining about 'these awful bus seats' and actually got off several stops early!

I'm not sure what's funny...

We're all different shapes and sizes, have different postures/difficulties with sitting down etc, so we're all bound to find different opinions on whether a certain seating type is comfortable or not?

Must say that I had one on Saturday sitting in those seats from Newcastle to Killingworth and I found them uncomfortable as well. Spent the whole journey moving around in the seat trying to get comfortable but failed. Sat at the back for the journey back to Newcastle.

I'm not overly blessed in the legginess department and had no problems. Might be a bit different over the wheel arches, but that's the case on many buses.

The two X-NNOs are the shorter wheelbase model to the other three - as well as all previous examples to work with Stagecoach in the North East.

I found them quite comfortable, but there's not as much cushion as the Civic V3s that Arriva and GNE use.

Yet the timetable suggests it's PVR 2 summer and 1 in the winter

I deleted my post because I realised that after I remembered there are at least 5 Olympians. I didn't think it was PVR 4 either.

I've seen them on a lot of contract work, seem to be a popular hire perhaps the Fleet covers for that too?
Wistfully stuck in the 90s

They're the same style seat as the Evoseti that EYMS loaned to GNE, aren't they? Definitely on the firm side, but I didn't get the leg and hip cramps that I'm extremely prone to.
