82 uses 2 deckers

Allocated 20 - how is there only one spare, are some deckers off the road?

Perhaps my previous explanation regarding the ex-London Volvo B7 wasn't clear enough. The three Volvo B7s which are allocated to scholars services during term time also work Nexus Misc Works services and peak-time commercial services.

The Nexus Misc Works services and peak-time commercial services still operate, even when the scholars services do not, so the PVR for ex-London Volvo B7 remains at 3 regardless of whether the scholars services are in operation or not.

14 Volvo B9 - X1
1 Volvo B7/Gemini - X1
3 Volvo B7/President - Misc Works
2 Volvo B7/President - 82

..which yields one spare Volvo B7/President to cover for any double-decks which may be VOR on service X1 (and as I said before, at a PVR of 15, one is always going to be VOR, on a daily basis).

A minibus would only be allocated to the Red Arrows as a very last resort.

570, if not required to cover for one of 603 - 606 on services 85/86, would be allocated to service 82 to release a Volvo B7 for service X1.

Thanks

Have you got the times for the Misc/peak workings?

And do the pair on the 82s get allocated to the same boards regularly or is it random?

Still got a few Washington Presidents that I need decent photos of.

The app says it calls in but I just want to ask anyway (eventhough I don't need to use it).

Does the Q3 still bypass the Park and Ride site at Great Park on Sundays?

It should operate into the Park and Ride site - the app is correct.

Cheers - my dad asked where it stopped and if it ran every day. I said it ran into the site Monday to Saturday but I said i wasn't sure about Sunday as i knew that it had been scheduled  not to stop in the past. I checked the app but wanted to double check just to be extra sure.

I can't see us travelling all the way to Great Park from Stanley when we can just go to the car parks but I guess its handy to know if we are over that way.

Of these, the 024 is solely GNE, other routes are shared with other operators although GNE are the only operator to run the 561 all the way to Skipton. Other operators run the short 561 to Leeds and Bradford.

Thank you for the information

How many National Express coaches do GNE 'own' - I would think that they might be leased?

With some kept at Chester-le-Street, where are the rest garaged?

Go North East owns all of their coaches, and all are based at Chester-le-Street. Some coaches can be away for a few days at a time, though.

When they aren't out on the road, most coaches are positioned in the depot within view from the front doors. They undergo a lot of maintenance when they're in the depot to make sure they're up to scratch.

Worth noting that around mid-July, 7098 was sat on the back wall with ''SCRAP'' written on it's front window.

3876 is no longer at Saltmeadoows it is now on route to Barnsley on the back of Trevor Wigley's ERF.

Edit: Apologies for my error but it was 3880 that was towed away not 3876.

5330 sighted at TVTE, pretty random place for it and seems to have a small panel missing at the back.

Edit: Just read that it performed a short loop.

Seen a few Crusader's going round over various stages of the last year with that panel missing. Think I mentioned 5328 had that panel missing back in November.

Its the towing bracket cover. Seems to have been a problem with the Mercs since they came. I have noticed that some of them have been riveted on to keep them In

Farewell 3876

May 6038, which is internally in a disgraceful state follow you. Never had a worse ride home as I did on that heap tonight . I thought it was going to fall apart on Durham Rd when it went above 20
Wistfully stuck in the 90s

6011 is equally as bad - especially upstairs.

That one is manky, panel at the front looks a right mess and the last time I rode it when the weather was like it was this morning (rain) I was getting drenched as water was coming down from the roof.

Apologies for my error but it turns out that the vehicle that was towed away from Saltmeadows was 3880 W176 SCU (not 3876 as originally reported).

I found this on my key log. Why on earth does it say 6A, this service doesn't exist?

There are some others like that. Different journey codes, but they still run as '6' for example.

I recall there's a '45E' for Red Kites too?

That run doesn't have anything odd about it from what I see on my timetable.
I see 97B also for the Sunniside run on here, but not on the actual display of the bus. This though, makes sense because it starts at the unusual location of Sunniside. That 6 run however is identical to any other, unless I'm blind.

Is 6A a variation to the main route for a journey or two a day, and requires more/less stops programmed into the ticket machine?

There's a 900A for the Airport-South Gosforth 900, as an example for having to have different stops/tickets loaded in the machine.

No, it's the same run as the evening ones, which are just '6'. I've now double checked this, so I'm a bit more confused.
