If 3 gemini 2s can get to stanley for the Toon Link, it could release all the gemini to Percy Main, and the Percy main omnidekkas plus the 3 at stanley for Washington

The Omnilongdekka are transferring north. Still many of those aren't here yet so it'll be interesting to see what happens next..!

Yes, it should have already been withdrawn, so days most certainly numbered.

The end of the seasonal AD122 service ought to have led to the transfer of 635 to Washington to act as staff transport for the Metro Replacement contract. It wasn't ready for transfer (until yesterday), which is why 723 temporarily transferred instead. 635 is now at Washington, so 723 is back at Hexham as a result.

636 remains at Hexham to provide an extra vehicle while there are roadworks etc on routes operated by Hexham.

No, just one StreetDeck off the road today.

The StreetDecks are having to be used on scholars when OmniDekkas are VOR, however, which has resulted in single-decks being allocated to the 21. Similar story at Deptford, with branded B9TLs having to be used on scholars resulting in Streetlites being allocated to the 56.

6317, bizarrely, has been allocated to Metro Replacement today, with 6122 used on the 21... That really shouldn't have happened...

Forgot about roadworks, least it'll still see service for at least another week or so, another make of bus will leave the Go North East fleet...

If literally true, I see bus companies investing in this technology as their current business model will be decimated. Thoughts...?! Bus Manufacturers would also need to transform, or they will end up like the horse carriages manufacturers referred to in article.

They've appeared in a a few areas across the country. 
I do think it appeals to a certain demographic though. Just as uber does. 
Can't see it taking off just yet. The nexus backed Dial-a-ride type services didn't really do much and they were targeted at the older generation.

There's also the experience on the road. I feel many will like their own vehicle which they can drive themselves. I still think autonomous cars and mass transport with autonomous vehicles will fall and drivable vehicles will remain to be the preference for the foreseeable future.

Maybe the combustion engine is reaching the end of its life, maybe hydrogen power and electric power will dominate soon. France currently has a scheme to buy cheap electric cars (they imposed a tax on petrol, it averages 160p/litre of our british pennies), but that is far as I can see it in any of our lives anyway.

Interesting read, but it boils down to an idealistic exercise in efficiency. Already it would be more efficient to ban cars in cities and force everyone to use public transport. The network would improved in every aspect as a result of increased patronage, fares would be reduced, it would be a more efficient use of space and better for the environment. However, obviously the idea of this ever happening is ludicrous, as we actively enjoy the autonomy of the private motor car.

Similarly how modern automatic transmission cars are, in theory, a better product than manual cars; yet they’ve never particularly caught on in Europe.  Perhaps humans are creatures of habit.

Are GNR operating a shuttle bus around Bournmoor?
Haven't long seen a white Solo with the interior lights on, what appeared to be a passenger and 'shuttle bus' on the blinds (looked naff on the rear display mind). 
Wasn't tracking, so didn't see where else it got to. 

However, it did remind me of seeing a 701D tracking through Fencehouses and past Rainton Meadows. 
I lost it when I boarded my bus.
