Go North East - Recent Repaints

Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Don't forget to add, it also depends how many workers are free to hold the ladders etc Smile

Does look rather smart, if it wasn't for the older bumper design they'd still look brand new!

It is the next stop system that is getting an upgrade not the announcements themselves, id imagine new visual screens etc

It's been confirmed on the fleet news, that the repaints of the Red Arrow B9's has been stopped and now the focus is other repaints, as the batch of StreetDecks for Washington isn't expected until September.

Will all the Red Kite Streetlites and the Toon Link B9's will go for repaints instead?

I'd imagine the E400 will arrive in the coming weeks as stated, so consett will probs take priority. Possibly see citaros at Hexham just withdrawn once E400 arrive

Be interesting to see what'll start to come first, StreetDecks or the E400s.

Wonder if the reason the StreetDecks for the X1 won't be arriving until September has anything to do with them being registered on a 70 plate rather than a 20.

Or X1s are the last in the batch of Streetdecks.

Shall we take bets on what livery/colour the Red Kites will appear from the paintshop?

I'm going with:

Red kite Streetlites to Deptford for the X6/X7 (until Solo's can be sourced) and the 61 and to replace the 3 Scania's - all in fleet livery.

13 Toonlink B9's in to fleet livery for 13/25/93/94

Red Arrow B9's in to Silver for the Crusader

I'd say SWB streetlites into Xlines X6/X7. Red kites to 60/61 refreshed drifter branding. 63 reg drifters fleet livery and allow withdrawal of citaros.

Agree with B9s

Hopefully they stick with 'primer grey' for the Crusader, it really is a lovely colour!

Hmmmm still think TVT B9s will be allocated in near future. Probs see red arrows go into corp and crusader dropped for the moment

The Saltwell Park Streetlites don't have any features so as WIFI/Stop announcements... although could be added.

The Saltwell Park think they'll stay Newcastle way, can they be upgraded to Euro 6? - they could go on 6/12/12A? - allowing the Citaro's to take a spare role (as they've just been repainted).

Sure Dan said they couldn't be upgraded. Might be wrong. Yea forgot about them being bog standard.

The SWB might actually be best suited to the 71 since it seems to have become popular with the seaham extension
