Sunderland North – October 2013 Consultation Results

http://www.simplygo.com/news/sunderland-...n-results/

A meaningless consultation, of course, as the questions were phrased to get the answers they wanted, and the X3 wasn't mentioned so by implication did they intend to cancel it?
On a different subject, the 688 is being diverted next week between Dirt Pot and Slag Hill !! (Allenheads).

Is the new Irizar/Scania K DDA compliant? Apparently GoAhead Group management were showing interest at Kortrijk.

Well it appears most of the changes are what we expected, exception been the 38. The 38/29 is a strange one as the 29 is basically the old 26 extended on has a PVR increase from 4 to 7 if our previous calculations were correct. I think the idea we believed was going to happen with the 29 running the 38 route then to Doxfore could be quite effective. X3 is also a strange one, can't see that lasting very long it's as if they are just cutting it cutting down until no one really notices it not been there. I do wonder if it'll be allocated an MPD.

East Durham changes are a hitty missy. The 208 changes are quite good I do like the idea and provides connections to Easington Colliery. 209/210 are a total rewind to last year, 265 changes are good, faster journey is needed. I hope the 204 works out as they seem to chop and changing the Belmont/Pittington as much as North Sunderland!

I'd imagine it will be operated by a Yellow MPD, yeah. Can't see it doing well to be honest.

How many Darts do you have at Chester (inc 8289)? Sure it's 4.

Guess one or two Tridents could be replaced too, to replace Olympians elsewhere (presumably Percy, as they have a number of Tridents already).

Yeah 4 (8236-8 & 8289) would be nice to see the tridents starting to be withdrawn.

If GNE are looking for New Buses for the TTX, Rather than going out an buying Coaches for the Service, Why not go out and buy a few Tri-Axle Enviro 500's with a Cummins Engine and Voith Transmission

I said "If", I didn't say they were did I, It does seem to be the topic of Conversation alongside the B7's on the Pronto X21 on this Thread and the 2014 Order Predictions Thread.

So did I hear correctly that all of Deptford's 16 ex-fab 56 Solars will be staying at Deptford? Except 5210 which is going to Hexham? We expecting 5205-5209 to go into black for X36 are we thinking these will be branded as Fast Cats also? With the rest of the red Solars allocated to the 29. Are we expecting that the all the SPD's from other depots will go? Will the Renowns from Deptford go elsewhere?

Yes, to all questions.

I think you're probably right in thinking that, leaving Cadets as reserve vehicles (directly replacing the reserve SPDs).

Hopefully back to Gateshead/Winlaton (Riverside from 1st Feb).

Would be nice for 4920/22/24/25 to replace 8220 & 8229, as well as B10BLEs 4840/42.

Would also be good to see 4912/13/14 back from Stanley to replace 4843/45/46.

4840/42/43/45 could replace 8236/37/38 and 8289 at Chester, and 4846 could go to Stanley to replace 8221.

4906/07/08/09 could go to Percy Main for service 9. With a repainted 4911 as backup.

Come on... At least let 4907 be the backup.. not 4911 Tongue
I don't care about 4920 anymore - 4907 is the one I hate!

Unless all of Percy's Omnicities transfer to Stanley for use on the X30/X31/X70/X71, and then 4908/9/11/20/22/24/25 transfer to Percy Main for the 9?

Yeah, 5247/8/9/50/53/54/73/74. 4906/7 would go to Percy Main as a spare.

Thought it was 11 off memory, but looking at the timetables, 9 seems right - yeah.
