Imagine them going to Chester Le Street for the 25, the Omni's have been in daily service on there the past few days and they were rumoured to be going there awhile back. Possibly some for Percy Main to see off the DFDS bunch aswell for when the LEZ comes in. Think they're the only frontline Omnidekka's left now.
Oh ok so like you say just to remove them from frontline work, thank you

Just tried to work it out there see what you mean now, seems to work on a 208 -> 204 -> 265 -> 202 circle by the looks of things with the reverse in the same skipping the 204 but the driver doing down to Station Town and back. Then again you could probably get arid of the 13 altogether and bar a few grumbles at first no-one would really care, the X20 does the same service even knowing it's a bit slow for Langley Park. Sacriston having the 16 and Witton Gilbert the X5/X15

Makes sense with the branding though tbf.

I've wondered for a while why the 13 still exists, as there aren't any links of any importance it covers that can't be done by another service ie 16 and x20. I don't think anybody would really lose out if it was withdrawn. Of course if it was there would be the usual twitter outrage from people, most of whom probably hardly ever use the service anyway.

If they did withdraw the 13 however then the x20 should use a full size single decker as it would be one less bus an hour between Durham and Langley Park.

Guess I'm lucky. I live Tyneside and work Teesside so normally pass 3 or 4 each day on my way back and forth in car.  But I wont be stopping on A19 to get a snap.

Guaranteed. Not much GNE can do, really, with websites such as Bustimes providing easy to see fleet tracking. I'd hope folk would remain sensible, but the NE veg will be NE veg.

GNE even have their own fleet tracker on the website now

The 50 minute walk from my house through the woods to Testos roundabout via the 'Nature Reserve' to catch the 0558 X9 to Boro on a morning did it for me.  I finally converted to a car driver.   But I did it for a long time and got my scouts badge for doing so.

I wonder how much use the on-board toilets are going to get.

And what is GNE's stance on seatbelt usage? I know passengers are supposed to use seatbelts when provided, but there's been no mention of seatbelts on any of the marketing. And when I used the previous coaches on the X9/X10, I don't recall seeing anything saying I had to wear one

Replaced 6377 looking at Bustimes, GNE tweeted that the 1300 from M'boro wouldn't operate so I assume 6377 failed at Billingham on its way south.

None of the Elite i's are tracking correctly, instead as 6150, 7121 and 7122.

7111 replaced 6377.

7149 is actually 7150.
7121 is actually 7152.
7122 is actually 7154.

The machines were just quickly swapped from the old coaches onto the new this morning, hence why they're not showing the new fleet numbers. The machine on 7150 hadn't taken the update with the new numbers yet, so they've just chosen the closest number in the list for that one.

Nice to see the lockdown only applies to certain people and taking photos of a bus miles away from your home is essential. Pathetic as fuck and frustrating at the same time. Then people are blaming what's happened at Jesmond on Arriva, nothing to do with bus spotters and everyone else using buses for no reason though.

The coaches look alright though.

Serves me right for not double checking and assuming instead. Was 6150 tracking in error?

Yep, that was one of the interdecks too. Was simultaneously tracking on X10 & 29 at one point this morning and for some reason also kept thinking it was on Tyneside when it was on Teesside

Out of curiosity, how hard is it to change the fleet numbers on the machines when they're swapped between vehicles. Is it just a case of going into settings and changing the number, or is there more to it than that?

To be fair, I was expecting to see way more photos by now!

Can change it in 4 seconds if the machine is ready to go and not currently logged on. This can only be done by yard staff or LD material though. Occasionally in a big violation (i.e omnidekka tracking as solo on scholars), they will issue instructions for the driver to do this, but this is not common.

I do wonder if one day ticketer will allow fleet numbers to be assigned via their portal remotely. It would be a lot more efficient than sending joe bloggs a copy-paste instruction list.
