Mistakenly so.

5324 has been off the road for MOT preparation and test, but I guess someone has assumed that it was off the road for paint and wrongly updated bustimes.

I was wondering why another one had popped up

The 'on the morning' spare will be a fleet livery Solo.

For planned maintenance, Deptford will replace a branded Streetlite with a fleet livery Streetlite.

(18 Oct 2021, 12:52 am)peter wrote Why would these be sent for the 71 - they already have Solo's at Chester-le-Street for that. I imagine they might hold off on the Venture Solo's until the 71/730 contracts are sorted out. All the fleet livery Solo's have left Consett (except 638 though I imagine that will follow suit). They need two for the Venture and 1 for the 30/31. Say they keep 641-643 and 644 as a spare, if they repaint 645 but then win the 730 contract it would make sense to keep another Venture for that. And then 646 is VOR atm so that's not doing anything soon. I imagine when the DCC contracts get sorted out if they don't end up being needed a couple more SR's will go to Percy Main to replace the last 4 10-reg Solo's

Indeed.

There's a 3 PVR for Venture minibuses, with 1 PVR for Tynedale Links (service 689). The V3 and 689 both need to be minibuses, so two spares are carried. That accounts for the five Venture Solos at Consett. 646 is the only spare Venture Solo, and it's long-term VOR awaiting an engine.

As well as 638 being float/reserve at Consett, there's also five float/reserve Solo currently in use at Deptford (648 - 651) - two covering air con mods and three covering the former indiGo branded Solo repaints. These will be used to replace the oldest Solo at Percy Main.

I'm not sure anyone is going to be excited over 8 year old Solos that used to be based at Percy Main ironically replacing the buses that sent them elsewhere.

(17 Oct 2021, 9:18 pm)Michael wrote Dan has confirmed on Twitter that after the Peterlee Purples are done, they're moving on to Silver and Blonde, while also confirming which solo's will be allocated to them.

653-661 are the Peterlee Purples (657-661 Deptford for X6/38A and 62)
662/3 Silver
664 Blonde
665/6 in fleet livery.

Should be completed in that order (658 is away for repaint at the mo).

Peterlee require four Peterlee Purples (653 - 656) for the 62A, 201, 206, 209 and 210.
Service 204 is unbranded and will be a fleet livery Solo, and the spare will also be in fleet livery (665/6).
Deptford run 5 buses on the 62/X6, all of which are Peterlee Purples (657 - 661).

So there’s only going to be 1 solo branded up as Blonde for the 38, would of been better having the 33 and 38 in the silver brand, the 204/204A and 59 should have its own brand as “Durham and District” , and then could of have Durham and District Purples instead of Peterlee Purples?

The PVR of the 38 is 1, so yes, one bus is branded.

It wouldn't have been better having the 33 and 38 in one brand, because the idea behind the new Sunderland network was that each service had its own individual colour.

Recognising the operational need for interworking, it would've made more sense to have not branded the 62/X6 (or branded them as something non-area-specific if the corporate livery isn't favoured) as it does really undermine the principle above having purple buses branded for a local Peterlee network runnning on a "blonde" route in Sunderland's east end.
RE: Sunderland District | A new network of brands for services in Sunderland
The 59 only runs on Sundays, they are hardly going to brand a service that runs one day a week!

Two more of the six serviceable branded Graphites. The scribble shows up perfectly - when the sun hits it straight on. I don't care for broadside photographs, so being a three quarter angle photographer, you wont see much of this silvery grey scribble.

What has confused me so much. Watching a video on the NSA. Why branding it Sunderland District when the NSA just mentions the end part. Take example from the NSA video. It says this is the Berries 2A service or this is the Graphite 38A service

I like how you picked that up and not the fact that it announces Silksworth incorrectly. "This is the Berries 2A service to silk worth"
