Anyway...

Bus and car collide in Hetton.

https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/nor...e-23738541 looks like Easington Lane actually.

So did I..

Unless this forum has become over zealously moderated like a certain dictatorship in East Asia, or a Facebook group a lot closer to home!
RE: Bus incidents
There was definitely a thread in the past…

On this, Bus Times seems to suggest the bus involved hasn’t yet returned to service.

Think as long as people handle these discussions sensitively - and don’t speculate on causes etc. - there’s no need to censor it.
RE: Bus incidents
Unsure what has happened to the previous thread, but it's not been a deletion by the moderator team. We're really not bothered about accident/incident discussion on here, as long as it doesn't get into naming names.

Have a read of the Chronicle article and citaro5284's reply.

Not Shiney Row and not even between Washington and Easington.

RE: Bus incidents
65 (5392) crashed in Murton today, was 10 mins late, took a corner way to fast and hit a car by the looks of it, know there was a previous incident with the 65 where it hit the island at Hetton when turning due to a delivery truck (red paintwork is still there)

Howay man. Speculation and identifying drivers isn't the best idea.

Yeah, I mean it's not ideal it happening on a bend in a road, outside the entrance to a new estate. But if a fire is going to break out, it will break out. Wherever the bus is.

This was quite a while ago but a 61 was hit by a car when leaving ParkLane at the 4th Set of lights. It was the cars fault it went through a red light.
