It would make sense to paint this and 6335 into corporate livery with them being spare for 16/16A & X5/X15.

So XLines Spare Charcoal Colour is basically withdrawn.

I was thinking that this is the ideal time to introduce a slightly different type of vinyl for the likes of this vehicle.

Can anyone remember those old magnetic clouds, sun and rain the BBC used to use during the weather forcasts? (https://youtu.be/JvX-jOlIFds).
Well I think a modern version of this should be utilised with that X-Lines network map on the rear.

Not only would it be a cost effective way to keep passengers up to date with any changes (temporary or otherwise), it would allow them to make those changes literally within seconds of them being announced.

A stratigicaly placed set of ladders placed outside key bus stops, could allow key members of staff to add and remove as required.

Whats going on with 6060 its been off since March 29th, two of the X5/15 ones have been off since mid-August
RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions
Whats happened with the Voyager Omnidekkas neither 6172-6175 have been on for a while, but with the 21,10's etc getting single deckers, if they aren't being used then why not put them on, I mean they could be doing private hire but normally on bustimes we can see them.

They've replaced the older omnideckers that were on the Jewish School contract, also get used on the X50 soccer bus

Are the Cherrys coming back? As if the 8 returns to every 30 mins, the 39 comes back to its pre-sept changes, the X20 comes back then GNE are going to need the buses to run the routes as over the past few days Graphites/Country Rangers/X-Lines X20 has been all over the place, and since Euro 6 Versas took over for the Cherrys then surely they'll need them back. As look at today according to Bustimes a Cathedral bus was on the 47. As I might be the only one but I would pick a Citaro over any other GNE single decker.

Why would they need them, there's loads of buses unallocated atm:
8339 - 8346
5384 - 5390
6356 - 6363

Where and what who knows, I have a feeling that 5380 - 5383 is temporary on the 41/41A aswell, wouldn't be surprised to see 8339 - 8343 return with the others going onto the 34 when everything goes back to normal to officially see the 09 Versa's off.

QuayCity are probably for the 57. I think its a PVR of 7-8 (at every 15 mins), with 2 spares.

StreetDecks are the really difficult one to allocate. Without starting a new express, really on the X20/X21 could get them.

Versas for 35s now and there's also corporate streetlights (formerly Prince Bishops) for when temporary timetable finishes,( 20A) and X20 returns (citaros) so no cherries, as already stated listed for sale

The Corporate Streetlites are for the South Sheilds Circuit. They need 18-19. So I think out of the 15' 16' Plate buses there is only like 1 spare between them all.

Deptford are going to struggle for spares if 8339-8346 aren't staying.

I think 8339-46 are staying when the Graphites return

Not sure to be fair on the PVR, it's slightly less though I believe. I doubt it'll go back to every 15 minutes though tbh.

The 12, 34 and 57 don't have any buses officially allocated to them or don't appear to though so something is for them. The fact the Quaycity's aren't on the 57 now and sitting around idle hints they're not going on there though imo.

I believe the 57 takes around 1 hour, 40 mins. So 100 mins, so its a PVR 5 (20 min freq) then the 12 which is around 80-90 mins at every 20 mins so a PVR of 5.

5380-5389, 5390/79 spare.

But what are going to be the Euro 6 buses for the 684/74. Really its 09 Versa's or the Sunderland Connect Solos are the only Euro 6 solos

RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions
Has 646 permanently bit the dust now? Along with several other withdrawn vehicles, it seems to have disappeared off the fleetlist on bustimes having not been in use for a few months. Can't have done many miles since it got it's new engine(?) and repaint from Venture to corporate? Makes you wonder why they didn't just reinstate one of the ex North Tyneside solos insted of going to the expense of repairing and repainting 646.

What will they be used on?, as it seems they don't have any other Omnicities in their fleet.

At less than 9 years old, I’d imagine that the book value of 646 was still quite high - to write the bus off for scrap and take a huge hit on asset disposal probably wasn’t viable.

The body panels from 646 were donated to the others to keep them running after bumps and scrapes, so it needed new body panels when it eventually went for MOT and therefore needed repainting afterwards. If anything the fresh repaint and new engine should assist the sale.

According to their Operations Lead on Twitter they have been bought to be used for recent contract wins in Essex. Hope this helps somewhat.

They used to have some ex-Metrobus Omnicities in their fleet. https://flic.kr/p/2dnGjze

They also had some former Anglian Bus Omnilinks. https://flic.kr/p/2a7xQ3K. These are now with sister companies Hedingham/Chambers.

Go North East 5323 (NK58DVZ) has been sold to City Transport. An operator based in Newcastle but does contracts around the country, vehicles are normally based at Tockwith, Yorkshire.
