Stagecoach North East - Recent Repaints

RE: Stagecoach North East - Recent Repaints
After a failed return to service, Scania K270UB/Alexander Enviro 300NG 28010 is back out, the 21st Local repaint of the type, over halfway.

RE: Stagecoach North East - Recent Repaints
i find it a little bit annoying that SNE neglected to paint at least 1 vehicle for the queens jubilee year especially as most divisions are keeping the vehicles that have been painted for the majority of the jubilee year, but the pride vehicles of which there are three already (please correct me if im wrong)are potentially going to be joined by a couple more according to a driver I know.

apparently 1 or 2 of the beachball liveried E300s are potentially going to get the pride livery when they go for repaint, i would put money on the Carlisle transfers if it does happen. i wonder if they are trying to distance themselves from Sir brians section 28 controversy from the early 2000s.

just a shame they couldn't have joined the other operators in the region and showed some appreciation for HMTQ

Would be nice to have a few "Poppy Buses" as well as the ones I have seen down south look really smart, I'd also like to see the new corporate livery with special nods towards the past of Sunderland/Newcastle & South Shields Busways/Economics & Cleveland Transit.

For example Stagecoach East Kent have repainted 17528 (LX51 FOX) into the old East Kent colours using the new livery and it looks fantastic -https://www.flickr.com/photos/darrent857/52189307293/in/dateposted/

Really..? It's hideous that imo, the painted destination display is seriously disturbingly bad (i'm aware it was like that under it's last guise), never mind everything else.

Up there with one of the worst liveries I've ever seen.

yes i see, i wouldn't mind some specials but I just think its a shame as we are unlikely to see another platinum jubilee for a minimum of  80 years (spookily enough) that there wasn't any vehicles done, I know some divisions had there's out in service as early as February if I recall correctly.

I mean how many double decker's and single decker's were repainted in between February to may time to provide at least Newcastle and Sunderland with at least 1 vehicle each.

i suppose in 2026 as its the 40th anniversary they could do a few "heritage" schemes,  potentially using MMCs as they will hopefully have the longest service lives and shouldn't be cascading anywhere soon. i personally would like to see

1.tyne and wear PTE
2.the busways colour scheme (appropriate to geographical area) maroon, blue and green etc.
3.the original stagecoach stripes (i believe devon have some vehicles marked up like this)
4.beachball

Not accident damage, it's just the rocker panel that's been done, no idea why but it was only oos one day.

Latest Wheatsheaf based E400 repainted is 19644. Leaving the Depot with only 19444 of the ten allocated in Beachball colours

Would have been better if they'd fixed it instead of painting it. I had to drive the thing round last night in limp mode.
