Can't say what I think of them, as I've only rode the Q3 once and it was only for a few stops so couldn't get a proper feel for them.

--------

I wonder if they'll be allocated to another service too, alongside the E services, as the PVR is only 10?, meaning 10 are just sitting around.
Ooo Friend, Bus Friend.

How come the latest 400MMCs examples to arrive don’t have a blue line below the windscreen like the ones that arrived a month or so back do?

Wonder that myself unless Walkergate asked them to do this batch quickly so they can get rid of the Hybrids before Christmas. This batch has been pushed out way way quicker than the last did

Hybrids aren’t going anywhere soon

These ones aren't diverted, they were always coming here.

apologies if ive got my totals wrong, but there was 26 hybrids, the MMCs of which ten that were meant to be coming here plus the 14 diverted equals up to 24 new vehicles, enough to oust most of the hybrids and using the extra generous amounts of single deckers spare at walkergate to replace the last 2

Nearly right, 14 diverted (607-620) plus ELEVEN others (770-780). 25 new vehicles as well as the ex-Wigan saloons 27817-21/23 at Walkergate. Guessing the saloons are soon to move across the Tyne.

Think it was just the first lot that was used to remove hybrids, appears to be from the 1 by the looks of things. Imagine these will displace singles tbh, there's 20 of them now to do arguably a PVR 5. I know there is some boards on the 22 etc which are allocated them now though.

The Enviro 300's (05 Plates) etc have to be on the chopping block, not to mention the MAN E200's which are still sticking around.

My guess these are for the 12 as it's only PVR they work for or maybe the 37/38 at a push.

There’s currently 2, 10631 (being repainted) and 10632. 10633 will most probably transfer over sometime in next week to join them

Although they are desperately needed at Slatyford, I'd doubt it considering these 2 are not Euro 6 they will need to be away from Newcastle.

They're probably going elsewhere. I believe we're losing 19114 and 211 to elsewhere too, to be replaced by 2 MMCs.

Makes sense - they're all Euro 4 (114 I think is Euro 3 cos it doesn't take AdBlue, hence why it goes like the clappers), and it'll mean Walker and Sunderland have a full Euro 6 Decker fleet.

if there is something compatible coming in their places i dont mind it but any E400 is better than single decks for slatyford atm

There is - 11770-11780 replace the E400s being cascaded out of the region. As originally intended when the original order plan was announced.

yes, but when slatyford is around ten double decks short its no good losing double decks, even if they held on to just 5 of them

That's still no good if there's deckers at Slatyford that can't actually be used because they don't meet the emissions standards for the area!

If they've been using these non-compliant ones up to now it will either be because there's been an agreement due to replacements being due, which won't be extendable, or they'll have been paying the fines, which certainly isn't sustainable long term.

i was under the impression they had modifications to the exhaust systems etc so that while the engines were not compliant, emissions were
