RE: Redcar depot
(06 Jun 2024, 1:04 pm)Mike_98 wrote Since some vehicles are back on the road at Redcar, 1564 and 1573 have returned to Stockton. Also Stockton sent back 1421 to Redcar. Anyone know whats gonna happen to 1404. I'm guessing that's a permanent transfer or is it still filling in for missing vehicles?

Wouldn't be surprised to see 1404 return to Ashington since 5/7 of the sheds appear to be off the road again.

Noticed 7509 was on the 57/57A yesterday according to tracking, unsure who was running it or whether it was correct though.

2857 back on the road finally at Redcar… freshly tested for another year! Been on 63s today. 7424 has been removed and taken to Durham to be parked, assume probably to donate bits to their few left going

1404 is now at Redcar on official allocation - covering for 4711 which is likely to be the second Temsa withdrawn for reasons other than fire damage.

Yeh, they seem to be slowly being withdrawn. Possibly could be 4720 next?

Aye that's fair then, guessing 4711 is being used as a Christmas tree to keep the others going?

And if that's the case, why is 1421 still at Stockton? Because at the moment, technically Redcar are down by 1 vehicle. Unless 1573 is currently replacing 1427 which is broke. Unsure on why the Lite is still at Redcar.

There's a knackered Temsa at Stockton, is that 4711?

Cheers.  Doesn't seem like they have long left.

Yes, It's sat in the yard donating spare parts for others. Surprisingly, 7425 & 7426 are still in Redcars Depot. God knows why they're still there. 7401 is still sat in the yard too and still hasn't been sent off to get it's repairs done. I would be shocked to see it even return to service at this point.

I was on 2857 yesterday and it was great. Felt like it had a new engine, turbo the lot. Completely was a different bus for the last time I was on it.

RE: Redcar depot
Anyone know whats happening with 4720. Someone mentioned the other day I believe, and apparently it's a Durham for some unknown reason...

Also I see 2863 has been at Redcar serving their routes for few days. I'm guessing that's filling in for missing vehicles.

I'm guessing these 3 are in need of major repairs

1423 for over a week
1427 for 3 months
1446 Been out for over a month

1427 is getting a new eginge fitted

Yeh, that's right. Forgot on why that was out for that length of time.

Good to see 5 out of the 6 B9's out on the road today. We'll see how long that lasts though. Shame 7401 is still sat needing repaired.
RE: Redcar depot
4711 is well and truly striped now door is off looks to be no driver seat backs off with parts removed its definitely withdrawn this one just by looking at it

I herd today 1404 as permitted transferred to Redcar depot as a replacement for the defunct Temsa 4711 which is looking sorry for it self more part's been removed to keep the others going

It isn't permanent. 1429 is covering for 4711 on the official allocation. That is the more likely permanent replacement.

1404 will go back to Stockton, most likely in September.

1404 is the permanent transfer to replace 4711. 1429 was a part of the Streetlite swap in December. Unless 1404 is swapped for another Stockton pulsar which maybe likely as it’s a Max Spec it will be staying at Redcar. Then again who knows they switch things around all the time.

1429 is was already Redcar based so that don't even make any sense to be honest

Correct  about 1429    as it was one with the other 13 that also came with it
RE: Redcar depot
Redcar have too many vehicles on paper. They need to shed some fleet to get back to the correct spare level.

As I said, officially on paper and according to the company issued allocation,1429 is not permanently in Redcar fleet and is actually providing cover only.

If that's the case 1404 should return to Ashington as Stockton lost it due to the mc5 be handed over. To Redcar which works on to the last x94 board

I don't like Solo's and think they're a pile of junk but realistically they'd be better sending up 2857. Might aswell get every Solo in the fleet bar the 3 at Whitby to Ashington (again) they might actually be able to do a days service.

There's no use for it at Redcar.

I'm not a fan on them myself   as for one at the back I always end up forgetting to duck as I'm.prity tall ??

They're grim if you ask me but it's more the reliability than anything. 2852, 2853, 2854, (2855, 2856) and 2859 must be some of the most unreliable buses in the North East and it's extremely rare for all 4 to be on the road, especially for a full week and when they are out they spend half the time broken down. 2855 and 2856 already being withdrawn.

Absolutely sheds, doesn't help that they replaced them with brand new buses which fixed the reliability issues to bring them back and the exact same problems started again, if anything it's worse as the 2 MPD's aren't here anymore which were little workhorses.

1404 was only covering for 1479 whilst it was undergoing repaint. It is still planned to go back into service at Stockton for something likely later this autumn.
