RE: Stagecoach North East: Rare and odd workings
For anyone wanting a photo of it given that it's a recent transfer, 22075 is on the 30 to Fenham passing Central Station now.

34610 is also on the 22.
RE: Stagecoach North East: Rare and odd workings
22734 on Economics. Currently on the 10:21 E2 to Sunderland from Whitburn. This should return as an E1.

What time was that? There was lots of deckers out, including an Olympian on the 34, but never saw one on the 37. Can't have stayed on long.

It came in Stockton High Street at 1555 and left for North Tees Hosp.

South Shields - 22070 and 27736 on 3/4/7/8 and 27724 on the X34.

Newcastle - T-reg MAN on the 100 (22475?) and 22480 on 35s.

It won't be 22475 as that is now a Teesside vehicle. 22476/77 have also now moved from Slatyford depot, presumably heading to or at Stockton.

The NewcastleGateshead Sightseeing Olympians were mentioned the other day in regards to a school's prom, but I can't remember what exactly it was about...

Whitburn Church of England Academy (think it's called that anyway) used a NewcastleGateshead one this year for their Year 11 prom - have just seen photos on Facebook.

Won't they have to be by 2017 for DDA?

I believe tyresmoke has said in the past that the Sightseeing Services are or could be excluded from DDA regulations.

That bus drops onto other services after the E6

MAN E200 39729 and at least one E200 Dart were on the 16 as well today. In fact it would appear that all the gas buses were off the road today, as while traveling to/from work I never saw a single one! Services such as the 3, 4, 13, 16 & 20 normally operated by the gas buses were all being run with E200s and I even glimpsed an ALX300 MAN on the 20 on the way to work this morning.

Oh right, thank you. York have some low-floor, as well as step-entrance buses working the City Sightseeing tours. Maybe this is something which could be considered in the future for Newcastle?

Paranoia or what.

(05 Jul 2014, 9:10 pm)AIG20 wrote The South Shields Shuttle Branded Leyland Olympian 14671 was used last year for my school prom, as I was a pupil there. I'm not 100% sure, but I think several of the pupils living in the East Boldon or Cleadon area got together at one house, which has a massive garden, and got on it there.

It was apparently organised by the pupils and parents, and not the Academy.

It is a really good idea as having an open top bus is not only an extra treat for the students, but it helps prevent traffic congestion in and around Whitburn Village.

However, I don't know how much it costs to hire out the open top buses.

Cheaper than a helicopter probably!

Dennis Trident 2/Alexander Enviro 400 19197 is presumably on the Economic services today, given that I've just seen it running light out of Sunderland on Newcastle Road in front of another E2 which was in service.

MAN 18.220LF/Alexander ALX300 22673 is on service 23 today.
