Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2014

RE: Go North East - Latest
I'm surprised that GNE didn't send a bus from Riverside to cover the 309 the other night after the huge backlog at Cobalt which meant that all 309 services between 1726 and 1835 didn't show up at Haymarket particularly considering that not all afternoon journeys interwork with the 310 anymore.
RE: Go North East - Latest
What the hell has been going on with the Cobalt Clipper today? Both the 309 and 310 didn't turn up, so had to wait 25 minutes for the 58.

What time?
RE: Go North East - Latest
Apparently roadworks at Benton House. I know the Sunday timings haven't changed so reliability shouldn't be an issue. I hope that the Monday to Friday reliability doesn't go down the pan otherwise that's the last reliable service gone!

Oh right - I didn't see them as I only went to Corner House.

Indeed, and Deptford wouldn't gain any additional buses as it doesn't add to their PVR.

Which scholars have Deptford gained, if they are for scholars?

Or which work routes?

On BBC NE news at 13.30 this afternoon there was an article with Kirk Trewin of Go North East showing an Angel hybrid at Riverside.
I assume the article will be repeated at 18.30 for anyone that missed it failing that it should be on BBC player.

Was that about the hybrid thing? If it was it was on Sunday Politics yesterday.

These services aren't scholar services. Both are nPower Park & Ride services, one of which is in operation from today, and the other from next Monday.

The Park & Ride services demonstrate an ongoing partnership between Go North East and nPower, following on from the already established relationship the companies have with each other. The services are not accessible by the public and only nPower employees can use them.

Today, as planned, started off with the allocation of Volvo B7TL 6042, which had transferred from Riverside to Deptford yesterday morning, though ended up being replaced by Volvo B9TL 6100, as depicted below:

Just watched it, Go North East were featured for all of about 15-20 Seconds, yet I bet they were talking about how the Vehicle Works and the Benefits for quite a while, For those Interested skip to the 53 Minute mark.

Where does it run from? or is it just around the site for the workers instead of them walking everywhere!

The one in operation from today runs a route which is no more than five minutes in length - from the road just outside of the nPower site to Chilton Car Park, which is located just off Black Boy Road in Houghton-le-Spring.

Probably very similar - just operating at another car park! Tongue
Each one will have a PVR of 1, and the one today was operating at a 15 minute frequency, so I suspect the other one will be the same.

I don't think it is, if it's the bridge over the railway line you're referring to?
