Might indicate that they're getting replaced this year if 4953 has being withdraw

But then 4953 might be temporarily withdrawn for repairs, and could return to service.

I'd imagine that the cost of installing every face-to-face seat on a bus with footrests would outweigh the costs of replacing the seat moquette periodically.

Most manufacturers don't offer seating layouts without some face to face seating, hence the difficulties with the seating layouts. Footrests will take up space, so may not be ideal.

i heard from a fellow bus enthusiast of mine that 4953 is at Smiles Engineering so therefore it is a temp withdrawal no wonder i haven't seen it lately when am in town its either a Scania or something random on there that is not a bendy bus

Only a guess but could it be due to the 21 being diverted away from Hills Street when the railtrack work was taking place at the time the hybrid B5's were brought into service.
In any event they have had enough time to update the announcments.

The last time I was on the 58, the screen didn't display Hills Street either. It went straight to 'Cale Cross House' after leaving Gateshead Interchange. I'm not sure if it's the same for the 56?

Neither does the X1. The screen/announcements go straight from "Gateshead" to "John Dobson Street", even though it does stop at Hills Street. The 56 however does feature Hills Street on the screens and announcements, but refers to the stop as "Bridge Street" instead.

Although i agree it would be good to have the Silver Arrows going to Doxford Park, i think we'll just see them to Silksworth.

I think passengers may get mixed up with 12/12A (due to Stagecoach's service 12), so 2/2A is alright

Correct me if I am wrong, but the silver arrows are currently 2A and 2C, so why not change them to 2A and 2B.

I wonder if this merge, of the 2A/2C and 42 means no more interworking on Sundays between the Silver Arrows and the 61? (think its them services)!

Wonder which service the 61 will interwork off?

The A stands for Anti Clockwise and the C stands for Clockwise as both Services operate a Loop around the Washington Area, I cant really see any reason to change it unless you want to confuse Passengers.

about the numbering of the 2A and 2C, it was mentioned that if the proposals go ahead then it would be numbered as 2 and 2A.

So just to confirm, 6018 and 6026 have been repainted, and 6036 has just gone? Leaving 6016, 6019 and 6022? Yes? Tongue - I agree with Michael, why couldn't they do them in order, it's so bloody confusing!
