Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2013

RE: Go North East
4949 was the Scania on X10, later on X9. 4918 worked the 1100 X9 from Middlesbrough, 4905 was in at the same time on the 1105 OK1 as was an X7, 3 GNE B10BLEs in the bus station together! Not sure it's ever happened before, probably won't again!

It's possible to make a typo!

Especially when on your phone, and trying to photo other things at the same time! I was sure I put 4949 but there you go.

I haven't seen this for the last two days, so I'm not sure on it's whereabouts. I got a snap of it in the plain yellow base, but need one with the Real Radio livery on it.

The rarest thing I noticed all day was a Citylink artic on the 58. Wink

A 'South Tyne' Cadet on the 'Washington Street Shuttle' 88! Are you sure? Mind you, a Citaro bendy on the 58 is pretty rare too Tongue
Whatever happened to the Cadets? They were never as unreliable when they were 'Crusaders'.

Just for convenience to those wanting a photo:

Arrives Heworth 0924
Departs Heworth 0930
Arrives Hadrian Park 1038
Departs Hadrian Park 1042
Arrives Heworth 1154
Departs Heworth 1200
Arrive/Departs Newcastle 1240
Arrives Heworth 1324
Departs Heworth 1330
Arrives Hadrian Park 1438
Departs Hadrian Park 1442
Arrives Heworth 1554

Follows above pattern - assuming she stays on all day.

8319 on 61s today for anyone wanting a photo. Left Park Lane within the last 10 mins.
Partially debranded Venture MPD 544 on 38s today, again, just left Park Lane.
Pink trainer coach 7078 learning 38s/238s today it would seem, as she closely followed 544.

RE: Go North East
3964 was taken off 58s at Newcastle (1240). Rather irritating indeed, as my photo of her near Gateshead heading towards Newcastle failed.
RE: Go North East
6066 was involved in a minor RTC in Birtley today colliding with a wing mirror of a Nissan Qashqai. No obvious damage but it ran NIS with pax on board to Chester

Mine failed as I wasn't aware that it was only branded nearside, and I was stood offside from it. Angry

RE: Go North East
For use on airshow Park & Ride services this weekend; 3858, 3860, 3861 and 3870 are to move to Deptford from Percy Main depending on availability, while 3811, 3812 and 3813 are confirmed to be on loan to Deptford also. Not sure of any others at the moment.

MPD 504 is also reported to have had a re-trim and it is to be re-painted next week.

Update on the GNE Timetables

In Chester le Street I Picked up the following Timetables

Northern X88
Northern 24
South Tyne 5
East Durham Network - 259/260/265 Have Separate Timetable to the rest
Crusader 27
Orbit 51/52
Saltwell Park 53/54
Fab 57
Citylink 58 - Citylink 58X - Both Separate Timetables for some reason
Loop 93/94
Northern 95/96/96A
Highwayman 97 - Highwayman 98/98A - Also Separate
Tyne Tees Xpress X9/X10
Centrelink X66

All of which are Gateshead/Saltmeadows Services with the exception of the X88 and East Durham Network, None of which are currently available at Gateshead Interchange Travel Office which is rather odd.

Still a few left to be Published in the new Styling Including:

Lime 8 - Lime 78/78A
Wheyaye50 50
Lambton Worm 34/34A
OK Way 18
OK Expressway OK1 - Won't be done due to Cancellation of Service
Waggonway 28/28/28B/128
Red Kite 45/46
Venture Network
Coaster 1 - Updated after Rebrand I would expect
Cobalt Clipper 309/310
Centurion 17
Various Northern Routes

I now have a Total of 58 of Newly Updated Timetables

Quite often find it's more of a case that the Gateshead travel shop aren't too quick off the mark to put them out. I managed to get a Saltwell Park timetable on Wed but I had to ask them for one.

Has it got a pic of the Versa on, the new timetable style has yet to be updated on their own site?
