He has a really valid point as well though...

Reminds me of someone we know right here, who is not on Jack Colbacks christmas card list after he signed for Newcastle last summer

They've been sold for scrap for a reason - I don't think Go North East could predict them having issues when planning to introduce the driver training livery. Probably wouldn't have been worth repairing any faults they had as they wouldn't have had a huge book value to begin with, being so old.

One of my favourite routes used to be Arriva's 84 which ran Bishop Auckland - West Auckland - Cockfield - Ingleton - Darlington, I especially enjoyed it when the route became operated by Volvo Olympians because it gave you a good view from upstairs. This has now been replaced with the Scarlet Band 84/84A/85.

Also rode a Volvo Olympian on the 75 once and there was some cracking views on that route too.

Keep meaning to head to Barney for photos, will probably go in the summer.

If you go on a Wednesday between 1200-1230 in the summer you will be able to photograph the Cumbria Classic Coaches service 571 plus the Hodgsons 73, 79 and the town bus, plus the Scarlet Band services.

Yeah I know about the 572, I've looked at actually riding the service before too by getting a Scarlet Band 95/96 from Barry to Middleton-In-Teesdale then jump on the 572 there back to Barney. I would miss a photo of the 79 but I'd probably do two trips over the summer with one focusing on the 572.

Applied to be a programmer in the RAF Reserves. Just need to explain to my parents that I won't be in any danger. They have always told me not to join the army, however since I will only be working on the technical side of things it should put their minds at rest.

Yes it's definitely worth going when the majority of things are in, as you can clear a lot in one go!
Another trip worth doing is Richmond on a Thursday lunchtime, as Hodgsons run the 79A on a Thursday alongside the regular 79, plus you've got all the Dales & District stuff calling between 1230-1330.
