A further B6BLE was delivered for Plaxton's Bus 2000 concept in 2004, followed by a second Bus 2000 B6BLE in 2005, but the VINs indicate that they were initially manufactured in model year 2000. A third chassis was available for the Bus 2000 project in 2005; however, it was not required, and was instead sold to New Zealand and bodied by Kiwi Bus Builders. This chassis had 1999 as model year.

I didn't see any notification on here, I was about to show my tutor the bus but it led me straight to either to a group or Dan's photostream.

Another one about the 23 and 29 when GNE had it for the second time and the 29 was doing Barley Mow-Gateshead and the 23 the same as it is now, what was being used on that as I'm sure it wasn't just the Ex Black Cats MPD's

Possibly because they weren't meant to be shown about before launch

Doubt Dan would be that stupid! There will be a reason for it - he might just be getting several notification pings because everybody was commenting/favoriting them.

I was on it the other day at about 10:30 between Wrekenton and S'land, I was the only person on all the way to Concord

Since the changes, I've seen many of the evening rush-hour services out of Newcastle fully-laden, sometimes with standees.

I've been on once all the way to Wrekenton (from Sunderland) - and I would say only around half a dozen were on until around Southwick, Nissan, etc.

Was often standees on the service when I'd used it as a quick shuttle to Gateshead after hopping off the X25 in the past. Tends to fill up on Old Durham Road at certain times, no matter which way you slice it.

Often when on the X1 heading to Newcastle around that time on a Saturday morning, the bus tends to be half-full by Houghton-le-Spring, a few get on along the stretch to Washington, then after Washington it's often standees, because every seat is taken.

Whereas, due to the old 10 minute frequency, it seemed with the inevitable delays that occurred - it was rather hit and miss (quite literally). One 56 service would pick up, and another would be following behind a couple of minutes later, but there wouldn't really have been enough filling up at bus stops to give it good passenger numbers on those occasions. I suppose when I did that journey all the way to Wrekenton from Sunderland that I mentioned above, I was one of the lucky ones in the respect that mine didn't become a First TransPennine train (reference to how crowded they get).

Will the VED be held back until 1st April (to save a month's money)?

Don't think there'll be any need for familiarisation given the rotas were merged recently and they already have Streetlites on the 53/54

Vehicle Excise Duty (was Car Tax).

Originally Road Fund Licence, but, nowadays, the money just goes into general taxation.

Looks like something thrown at it from the outside, judging by the way the glass has ended up all over the inside.

Dan posted photos within hours of the arrival, but they seemed to have been taken down. If you have a look further back in the thread you might see pictures Smile

Edit: The photos aren't visible but they were on page 31 of this thread

He uses the invisible feature which means that no one can see his activity.

Citaro5284 has been quiet too.
