Hey, you're right, that's not bad at all.
According to this inflation calculator, which has been used on many occasions on this forum in the past, £3.00 in 2006 is worth £4.00 now, yet this new DaySaver costs £3.90!

Arriva's single fares may be cheaper, but I'd suggest most customers opt for day/weekly tickets...
According to G-CPTN above, Go North East's offering on this new ticket is £3.90 and £13.00 respectively, whereas Arriva's Blyth + Tyne & Wear Triple ticket costs £5.80 and £22.60 respectively.
