If he is happy with his maps then why should they be redrawn so that adults can understand them?

Yep, he does enjoy creating them. I always take a PIC before he discards his creations as all the pleasure for him is in the creation- though we do have a couple of buses on the fridge at the moment.
When he was making up paper buses, he made up a bus station for them, complete with stand allocations and timetables. That stayed on the fridge until the number of amendments due to clashes became too much.
I do love how that particular aspect of his mind works.
