When the areas got changed, there never bothered changing the postcodes as it will confuse the postman lol.
Yeah, I forgot about my postcode(SR7) being in the Sunderland Postcode Area...
Although we are in different boroughs, do the post office not just stick to the boundaries of pre-1974 County Durham(North Bank of the Tees to the South Bank of The Tyne) which is why we see places have a postcode from a different local authority
