(04 Jan 2016, 1:03 pm)R852 PRG wrote 8250 and 8251 have been withdrawn, they aren't used as driver training vehicles, unlike 8242-8248. They'll be sold when a buyer is found, or alternatively sent for scrap.
I believe they are/were being used for engineering training purposes.
