Aye, it was a great game.

Another key part of my teenage years, was the return of Keegan to Newcastle.
On this day in 1992, he was in charge of Newcastle for the first time.

I had heard about his managerial appointment at dinnertime one day. We had no idea whether it was true or not like - with there being no internet and the Chronicle not being published until the evening back then!

On the day of the game, I managed to get into Newcastle where the crowds were huge - both on the streets and in Farnons and Binns (where I had been dragged for some reason by the folks - a suit for a wedding maybe?)
