From the bus stops to be built on Newcastle Bank, south of the A1 at Eighton Lodge, it will be possible to get to both Newcastle City Centre, Gateshead Town Centre and the Metrocentre.
Though there will be no special bus service for the park and ride as initially planned, Go North East and Arriva bus services already serving the route will pull into the new stop.
