Wasn't quite sure where to out this but it involved a stagecoach driver and bus.
I was overtaking a parked bus (gas bus newest in Fleet at Sunderland) and he pulled out causing me to brake heavily and had to take action to avoid been squashed.
When the driver pulled up at the wheatsheaf he apologised to me and said it was due to angle of bus and he didn't see me in his mirrors.
I certainly give him credit for apologising which I have accepted.
As well as cycling I drive a long wheel based van to in my job. I would say in my mirrors and road position after viewing my helmet camera footage I would of seen myself in my blind spot mirror.
Why don't buses have these and tiny mirrors? It's a danger to other road users. I mean the amount of time when driving buses have just pulled out on me within a second of putting there indicator on pulling out on me. Don't mind so much when I have a bit metal to protect me!
