Could this be a small hint at the service past Morpeth being dropped to 2 Hourly? It will be a significant blow if that happens ontop of a bad outcome of the Spirit dilemma.
Such a shame though, I have nothing but respect for the effort that Steve has done for bringing back services in such a remote area.
Judging by this I don't even think it will be operating on all days Monday to Saturday... I'm guessing thats what it means by an alternate weekday/Saturday service?

Due to Arriva North East / Northumberland County Council contracted route X14 altering its timetable to a less frequent and alternate weekday / Saturday service, we will unfortunately NOT be able to make ANY connections with this service from Newcastle and Morpeth after 25/09/16.
Regrettably to our visitors and residents who utilise this link we cannot currently alter our timetable to suit. Once a finalised and published timetable emerges we will look into further options.

Hopefully the services will continue as it will be a real shame if not.
