On this very cold Sunday morning where services are on a frequency of every 30 minutes, the ticket machines were not working at a platform. She spoke to the man who was unable to buy a ticket through her window, and despite his reluctance to accept, she let him on for free. Got in touch with control immediately, and got out of her cab to reassure the man that the inspectors would not fine him for not holding a ticket.
Great deal of wheelspin between Pelaw and Gateshead as always... leaves on the line! That said, she's still on time and managing well.
I always find the Metro staff very pleasant to be honest. Even the ticket inspectors are courteous in what they're doing - considering it's a role potentially open to a lot of verbal and physical abuse. It's just the management's inability to run the network that is a gripe on me.
I've never had the pleasure of a young blonde mind driver mind.
