It always used to annoy me when I went to Gateshead College and used the X34 from the Nook that I'd have to walk through the town centre (this was as they were building the tesco, so not a pretty walk) to the interchange to catch my bus to Team Valley. It meant I was more likely to use a metro too because there was less walking to do.
Probably did not want to pay Nexus departure charges haha
