The end of the Sleeper operation will see the Megabus Gold fleet reduced to a requirement of 5 between the G9 (Glasgow to Aberdeen) and G10 (Glasgow to Inverness). It is expected that the trio new in 2013 (50311-3) will remain in use with the Training School at various Megabus operations.
New details have now been confirmed:
50309/10 (SF13 FMO/P) along with 50311-3 (YJ64 AUT/P/R) are to be repainted into Citylink Gold livery for use on the G9/G10. 50301-6 (SM13 FMC/D/E/G/J/K) are remaining as spares at Glasgow and have been seeing use on the 900 (Glasgow to Edinburgh) in addition to the G9/G10. 50307/8 (SM13 FML/M) are reportedly transferring to the Rennies fleet.
New service G90 started on Monday operating between Edinburgh and Inverness via Perth - to be operated by Edinburgh Coachlines using new Scania K410EB/Irizar i6s
