12 of Leeds Hunslet Park's Vovlo B9TL/Wright Gemini 2s are due to transfer to First Cyrmu this coming week. In exchange, Bramley depot are to receive 12 Streetlites from the same source. A number of spare deckers from Bramley and Bradford depots will be loaned to Hunslet Park pending the arrival of the first of the 284 new vehicles due for Leeds in the next three years - reported number of 34 due in the autumn for use on the 1 (Holt Park-City Centre-Beeston) and 6 (Holt Park-Bus Station).
The amount is now 10 of each.
Streetlites 47629-31 are the first to arrive - 47629 now repainted (photo @ Chris Munden). The plan is to use them on 'Leeds City Bus' service 5 (Halton Moor to Bus Station then City Loop) replacing the early B7RLEs (although it is mainly the Scania Solars and B7Ls on there at present).
The new deckers on order for Leeds are further Wright Streetdecks - including some HEV models for the Park & Ride services.
